Hey boys and girls.
Our very own @CrudeSasquatch will be swearing into the Canadian Forces tomorrow morning.

I know this isn't news to many of you, but I though that it'd be nice to give him a little TESTie high five on this momentous occasion.

So, brother dearest, I wish you the best of luck. I'm extremely proud of you. Kudos to you for choosing to serve. Love you little brother.

@CrudeSasquatch Good luck buddy ! you'll do great!
Things to remember:
1: get drunker than everyone to prove you're the better man.
2: offer drill sergeants tips on how they can improve their training style
3: tell jokes during long boring speeches by commanding officers to keep morale high
4: have sex with everyone available and don't wear condoms
5: complain about the food
6: cry in your sleep
7: always set your gun down and forget where it is
8: drink plenty of milk before running
9: sleep in every day

Did I forget anything?

In all seriousness...
Thank you very much. This is a big step in my life... I really need a pension for when I retire. I blew through two life savings already, and all I got to show for it is a broken down Aurora and a computer from 2011. My life experience has, albeit despite having been eclectic, wild fun, worldy and diverse, not been as fulfilling as I would have liked.
Hopefully the CF is a place I can excel. I'm looking forward to getting trained up in all the fun guns, actual water stuff. I really hope they can teach me how to dress smartly and shower more than once a week. Mostly I'm looking forward to the Dental Plan, the free education, and a lifetime supply of hot nurses.

For all your actual military folk out there... I hope to make you proud, and if I can't make you proud I hope I'll at least make you a clean cup of water (which I will then turn into coffee because water is for suckers).

I sure hope there's someone older than me on the course.... I don't want to be the guy people look up too!

10: Always double check if the gun is loaded by looking into the barrel!

Good luck mate! I think you'll find that your actually capable of a lot more then your "old body" is telling you right now. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Congrats man! Just remember there are only two rules that you have to follow.

1. Family comes first. Always.
2. Everything you do is to support the brother or sister fighting next to you. Whether its training, mentoring, or just being a friend. Do that, and you will always have someone there to pull you from the fire.

Again congrats and godspeed.

Good luck going through boot camp or whatever you call it in the Great Frozen North. Something that helped me get through basic, aim for mediocrity. Sure you can work really hard and maybe get promoted at graduation, but that takes work. You don't want to swing too far away and become a shit bag though, always getting in trouble so aim for the middle. Remember, if they don't know your name without looking at your shirt you're doing it right.

Wouh....wow, this is the very first very serious post by you I'm reading here around since I stepped into TEST. Thus you seem to take this as a serious step in your life; important; maybe life-changing. I'm truly happy for you that you get this chance to change something, that makes you feel more comfortable and perhaps gives you some security, looking to your pension - even if its faaaar away ;)
So, dear @CrudeSasquatch I'm sending you all the best wishes from Germany over the big sea to Canada. I will miss you here around, thats for sure, as everyone else will miss you here around - but I think we all are VERY looking forward to your CCF (CrudesasquatchCanadianForces)-Reports. Be strong, be safe, and foremost: HAVE FUN!! :punch::thumbsup::wink:
