$30 more than if i had bought it from GIG (due to shitty VAT) so not so bad.

I'm sure once the game releases and people only have their beginner ship, Being part of a giant crew would be an inviting option to players who are looking for something different. Or maybe there might be mission rewards with a crew split or something along those lines.I still strikes me as to how many Polaris' we have.
To operate at minimum crew (13 with no NPC's) we would need 481 warm bodies which should be easy since we have 10k + members.
To operate at max crew (24) we would need 888 or roughly 10% of Test Squadron to play.
This is an assumption based off of what has been reported and 37 Polaris'. However our current fleet only represents about 10% of what we truly have.
It makes me wonder how we are going to pilot all these ships. Possibly we could balloon to a 20k org or higher once the game comes out.
Oh well, wishful thinking on my part.
Honestly? Imho there will be a HUGE amount of people who will fall into Star Citizen as SOON(tm) as it is released. Probably +100%. And these will be the people who even in their wildest dreams never could imagine to spend more than a 60 bucks for a computer game. Hence this will be the crew for all us "Crazys", who on whatever reason spent several thousand bucks, owning ships we never will be able to fly at once ;)I still strikes me as to how many Polaris' we have.

Realistically the large multi crews won't get used too much I think early on as the cost/benefit trade offs will still be up in the air and lets face it people live in different time zones have jobs, famillies etc so the numbers needed for Tests 'Polaris Patrol' will take a while imho. There will be lots of occasional semi-organised 'special' outings I think. It's more likely everyone will be tooling around with smaller ships and smaller multi crews as 'dailies' while people try out the larger 'career' ships to get a handle on things.I still strikes me as to how many Polaris' we have.
