we have enough to put together another team. now the question is how do we fit them in on the bracket?
my first idea is a by until the wild card selection then fight them before continuing in the redemption bracket. but that gives them a advantage in not having to be in the first 2 rounds. that can also be considered a disadvantage since their first loss drops them from the tournament and they don't have he experience of the first 2 rounds going into that fight.
my second idea is 2 teams volunteer for extra matches against them and the only team affected by the win or loss is them. then we can have them in the pool for wild card if they lose twice and if they win at least once they fight the wild card before moving on in the redemption bracket.
what are your guys thoughts? how to make it fair but not mess up the brackets we have to much because a complete redesign would be needed and the brackets i believe would have to be one sided not 2 sided like it is now.

So the illustration shows:
Main Bracket Round 1 the xtra team fights a team that volunteers for an extra match. Preferably from the opposite side of the brackets.
Redemption Bracket Round 1 the xtra team fights a team that volunteers for an extra match. Preferably from the opposite side of the brackets.
Then depending on their record:
If they won both games or win one of them they continue to fight the wild card winner before the bracket continues with Redemption Bracket finals.
If they lost both games the 3 teams that would be placed in the wild card bracket have their kill stats compared. the team with the most kills (or more stats if there are ties) will be placed in the 2nd round of redemption bracket and fight the winner of the other 2 teams for that side of the bracket.
then we continue as normal. what do you guys think?

option 3: let every team check in before the tournament starts, if a team doesn't check in, let the extra team play for them
option 4: if a team doesn't get any response from its counter team, let them set up a match against the extra team. In case that the other team manages to arrange the originally planned fight before the end of the time limit, count the result as a volunteer team vs the extra team
