Drake Buccaneer is cool to look at but if I don't plan on being a pirate, bounty hunter, or part of a security detail will I need it in the PU?
Should I instead opt for a second Cutlass?

Why I have so many ships. When out on my Orion not bad to have an escort so your not a easy target. NPC's wont get bored while your mining. lolIt still sounds that we will be able to hire NPCs as crew, including as pilots of escort craft. If that happens, people will pay top dollar for NPC pilots and put them in that "extra" fighter ship they had. Now if you planned to take special advantage of the Cutlass and want to consider it a fighter, you can multiply advantages by grouping ships with the same speed, for example.
I am planning on collecting Vanguard. It will be interesting to see how many I can fly by myself using NPC pilots. It would be cheaper to own a Polaris, but the Vanguard I think I can pick up for free.
Cutlass, Freelancer, Herald, Sen, Buccaneer.Personally I'd have one for a call to arms. It won't ever be your primary but in a pinch you can help out friends or be part of a large combat force that needs pilots. What ships do you have?
I truly love you guys that have been able to drop so much cash for ships. I had to buy a new pc just to play this glorious game so it is me and my Aurora until I earn some in game credits but thank you all for helping to fuel the crowd sourced beast that is Star Citizen! I can't wait for Squadron 42!!!!Your ships seem fine if you do not want the buccaneer sell it. If you do need a ship you can always buy it in game. You have already spent 400 or so bucks on a game years from release there is lots of time.
The cutlass and freelancer look like they will sort of overlap roles a bit, (as in multi role modest cargo can fight ships) in your shoes I would upgrade one or other with the Buccaneer money to a solo gatherer currently there is only prospector but there should be a solo salvage ship at some time, but that's because I like that style of play. I would not spend anymore on the game though maybe get a dragonfly or the new solo bike ship when it comes along from any excess already in your ships. The cutlass is reported as having 6 size 3 weopons (yes its subject to change) so although not a fighter it can probably support others in a fight.
Got the ships, but not a computer that can handle SC atm. Maybe after Ryzen drops I could find a deal on a system that could.I truly love you guys that have been able to drop so much cash for ships. There's a LOT of us who need TEST crew. You'll have no problem earning credits with us around :)I truly love you guys that have been able to drop so much cash for ships. 2 Cutlasses and a Freelancer can make for a really good 3 ship team for transporting cargo across the verse. Just hire some NPCs to fly as your wingmen and have them use your ships. I think it's got enough offensive power for you to take care of any NPC threat that comes along or at least be able to escape. A few players might be more troublesome, but they will be rare in comparison.Cutlass, Freelancer, Herald, Sen, Buccaneer.
Freelancer was my first pledge way back in '12.
I see what you did therein. a Herald would be more your speed?
I think you're set with just the Cutlass, Lancer, Herald and Sen.Cutlass, Freelancer, Herald, Sen, Buccaneer.
