The Vanduul problem?

Right on! My enemy's enemy is also my enemy. We'll screw those guys over as well!
Unless they have hot alien chicks and fountains of beer.... then we may just want to help them with their Xi'an and beer problems.
The UEE expanded too fast and we have a bunch of pirate systems that have not been locked down and made safe for the normals...
No good to the UEE, they can have Tyrol, Taranis etc on a 999 year lease, once they are done with the systems "civilising" them and modernising the infrastructure we then get them back after 999 years because hey, it was a political gesture to lease them to you and there was no intention to extend the lase at any time then or now.
This, friends, is what is called a "Political solution", where they get what they 'want' or more precisely have they have barter for after asking for what they actually wanted, and you get exactly what you intend - a problem (pirate systems) is removed and can actually be blamed on the new administration running those systems if the problem gets worse, the systems are upgraded and bought under control and the only down side is for losing the mineral and free passage rights of only 6 systems for a thousand years - you cannot get 6 civilised systems as cheaply doing it yourself, I can assure you!
They can have one civilised system and five uncivilised, but they may be able to barter it to 50%/50% but more like two civilised to four pirate... Who's in on the plan? Lets lease the Xi'an some garbage!

Or... We could roll with Operation Pitchfork, clear out the Vanduul, then take one of the systems that we clear for ourselves. It could be the Test System, with planet Test. Orbited by the moon Test. We could have our own mining planet. We could have our own industry planets with tariffs and taxes for any Orgs that wish to do business. Fuck yea!

I actually quite like this idea. We could support the Vanduul, and with our gigantic fleet we could really tip the balance in favor of the vanduul :smile:. And who knows, maybe Montoya can use his corporate ties with CIG to come to an agreement with them that the Vanduul are programmed not to attack TEST members? :smile:

No org can start a war since that org will be viewed as a pirate org and their actions will not be viewed as actions of the UEE.
