I'm going to go on the record as guessing it isn't space superiority in the sense everyone thinks. My guess is warp/quantum breaking interdiction. Why else would it be so secret?
In my scenario, the break has an emp effect, and the eclipse has large dumbfire (or poor tracking) bombs that can now target the enemy ship for massive damage.

Anyone else think this looks like an oversized Avenger? You know if they have several variants where you can swap out the bomber bay for other things, this could become one of the very coolest ships in game.
