I have 6 just in case :)As long as you still have a game package then give'r. You want to make sure you have at least one package, hopefully with both SC and SQ42.

Can you actually sign on more than one at a time? So if you have the 'puters at home, your friends can all play crew on the same ship? (Means you can hit them when they miss the fighter they are shooting at from your turret.) Seriously, what are the bonuses of multiple game packages? Can you assign or grant them to friends? Christmas gifts and such?I have 6 just in case
I have heard speculations that additional game packages could be used as NPC characters... that you already own (don't have to pay wages to).Can you actually sign on more than one at a time? What @StdDev said. Originally more than one package would give you your own personal NPCs to develop. We shall see if this still hold true lone the game drops.I have heard speculations that additional game packages could be used as NPC characters... that you already own (don't have to pay wages to).

I looked into this a while back and it amounted to a question at a panel "Can I turn a second game package into my own Chewbacca?" and Roberts saying "That sounds cool!" Then the forums ran with it with, as far as I know, zero confirmation or feedback from the developers. Still, would be cool, but take it with a grain of salt, this one might just be forum scuttlebutt. What @StdDev said. Originally more than one package would give you your own personal NPCs to develop. If it were true, I think they'd make a greater effort of marketing this feature to increase sale on the packages.I looked into this a while back and it amounted to a question at a panel "Can I turn a second game package into my own Chewbacca?" and Roberts saying "That sounds cool!" Please correct me if I'm wrong, I do want my own Chewbacca.
I'm sure you're right and I'm sure they are aware of the interest in the idea. Maybe once the character customization stuff comes out, and NPCs are more developed, they will address it further. Buying extra game packages expecting this to be a thing, however, may be putting the cart before the horse at the point. If it were true, I think they'd make a greater effort of marketing this feature to increase sale on the packages.
Maybe they just haven't decided yet?
I thinik if they want to market NPC's as a feature they would need the AI for that--show people what they get. That is supposed out be out with 3.0, so lets hope we see something good. AI turrets are supposed to be a thing too, so you can finally fly your Connie or Tally and present something other than just a big target. If I were CIG I would release pets a couple months later using the same AI. The big question is, just how programmable are the AI features? Can you design your own escort fighter tactics and use voice commands "escape pattern Delta" and such? How cool would that be?If it were true, I think they'd make a greater effort of marketing this feature to increase sale on the packages.

Im with han on this one. i still suggest LTI on your ship though as you may change your mind later. with the nox at least in your buyback if you upgrade to far in future and decide you want a different route you can melt the nox buy it back then take that route. get the warbond or melt the other nox you got and ger a 2 packI have a feeling that LTI won't be incredibly necessary unless you have a huge-ass ship like an Idris or Jav. Keep in mind as well the LTI only applies to the hull itself. IF you upgrade the shit out of the weapons and components, you'll likely have to insure those separately.
Roger that! thx for clarifications, cheersAs long as you still have a game package then give'r. You want to make sure you have at least one package, hopefully with both SC and SQ42.
I'll see if I can find the original post on it. Twas all official back then. I think.
