I'm wondering if the 600 will be the ship that causes me to give up my Beerfarer.
I think people don't realize what the Max and the Hull C will be like unloaded. The C is a pretty cool ship when not weighed down with so much cargo. Indeed it will be enlightening to see how fast the cargo haulers go when unburdened. If the C can accept an external missile pod it could like the Lancer Mis be a formidable missile boat.My freelancer MAX is currently filling this role for me. It's far too early to tell for sure though. Right now it looks like it's going to be fast as hell which is what I was looking for.
Mmmm. I see your point, it even has an off-set cockpit. The falcon is a junker, it's.just a good junker so it's really a Drake. It's gonna break and break often, so fix it with spares and after a few years of more and more spares you end up with a ship no one else knows the limitations of or the specifications. It's simply yours.
It's a Drake and if I put money on it then it's a caterpillar, it's not a great physical match but in theory it's a close match.

What I have to remember about the Falcon is that it wasn't physically that fast. Tie Fighters could catch it. Star Destroyers could intercept it. Man it was maneuverable, but it's speed came from its Hyperdrive.
It'd be like me saying "I've gotta get my quantum drive to do 0.3 and then i'll have the fastest ship in the 'verse" technically true but unless you have a time limit on a delivery, a little meaningless.
I'm going to try to get my Taurus a high SCM and Boost speed with good maneuverability. Thats what i'm after. Yeah the Kessle Run in under 12 parsecs would be nice but i'd rather be able to dodge missiles.
Confirmed: my 'Pillar of the Community is the Falcon in disguise. Huzzah. Winning. What about the caterpillar? its a modular ship, put 2 modules on it for less cargo and I think it would be a great millennium falcon type ship.
The Lego thread got me thinking...which is dangerous. I often ask myself; "Hey, Han. Lookin good, smellin' fresh. Listen, buddy, I've got a question for ya...What is it that you want to be in the verse?"
Would you believe me if I said that I told me that I aim to for my play-style to emulate the roguish rapscallion ways of a gentleman by the name of Han Solo? I just want to be an honest businessman (with a few slight side ventures) who has enough money at the end of the day to toss back a couple cold ones with my Taveran copilot. (Admittedly, a Sasquatch co-pilot like the real Han's got is cooler, but a BirdPerson wouldn't be so bad)
For my choice, I submit to you:
- Modular
- Upgradable
- WIDE range of capabilities with the chassis, so 'street sleeper' status is viable
- Comes stock with a secret hatch for your porno stash (or porno stache, depending on how you roll)
- Legitimately a solid cargo ship for legal work when you need to put food on the table
- Spinny chairs
That's what I'm going with. So what would you guys use if you wanted to recreate the thrills of manning the Millennium Falcon?
I think I concur.My bet is now the 600i
