Great! Thanks you all a lot.

I will do all I can to recover that Pioneer from my buyback list :-)

The other ship would be an 890J, most probably!

(I would like to know how will renting work...)

Hmmm... how will work Test economically and in other aspects? At Eve there were a “% tax”... etc.

When we do an operation, how is the profit distributed between the players?

You're always welcome to crunch on some asteroids with me. I will also lean heavily on the industry aspects of the game play, with every now and then taking a break from it and doing other things.
Thanks! I want to try different gameplays :-)

For pretty much all of these, we'll have to wait and see.
If passenger shipping is a viable industry (:fingers_crossed:), then the 890 could end up being a big moneymaker. But, we don't really have any idea whether or not it's going to work.
As far as sharing of profit goes, I've heard rumors of some sort of crew system, similar to the way npc crews will work. Of course, we don't know how npc crews are going to work yet either. We'll definitely need way more info to determine specific percentages.
Don't quote me on this, but I don't think we'll ever implement an org tax. Unless @Montoya is really hard up for UEC. :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm not sure how test will be doing things either but back when I played Eve the org I was in split the profits so that 10% went to the org and everyone else got an equal split. If I end up running mining ops on my own that's probably how I would run them just out of habit. Hopefully that passenger shipping will be viable. Id love to get me an 890 in game just to putter around the verse making some coin.

But we need taxes so we can control unclaimed space somewhat easier! (I think)

At my Corp, I remember to work for free escolting miners and the like. They sold new ships to us at a very low price or something like that. At the end they got rich while us the military were relatively poor. I think it was a fail.

I think that people with more expensive ships would get an higher % just because they put on a lot of $. Also to compensate the risk about lossing a capital ship. One way to reduce that % difference is to, when an eventually ship destruction appear, to “socialize it’s cost”.

How to do it in a fair way???

of course there will be a tax

a large tax base is the biggest advantage of a large org

players hate to lose ships, 95% are totally risk-averse

the best way to get people to X up for org sanctioned fights or escort duty is to have a ship replacement program

the way to fund the ship replacement program is with taxes

That's actually a good idea. Way to make me want to pay taxes, mate.
