But there are options... everyone complains that there are not. I live in Longmont Colorado. Our public utility - Longmont Power and Communications offers fiber with 1000 up 1000 down... I LOVE it. I've never been a fan of Govt run internet but they really made it work.

"Ive got good internet so there are no problems" is not a solution.
There is no free market solution in my neighborhood because Google Fiber is being blocked by the existing ISPs.
Want to read how Google Fiber is being blocked? Its a good read.
I don't have any options. I have Cox and.... Starbucks? Though Starbcks won't come to my house.

It removes your freedom on the internet. Now, your ISP can throttle or block any provider content they feel like throttling or blocking.
And how did Net Neutrality stop engineers entrepreneurs and consumers from driving that?
By lawyers suing engineers for their ideas and "Brilliance" :)
