Ah, the Express.

Scientific research has revealed that along with other UK tabloids the Daily Mail and Daily Sport, eating a page will prove to be the most powerful laxative known to man due to consuming such a large amount of pure and inadulterated "shit" in such a small package. The Daily Sport gets a slight reprieve because they are honest about it with such front pages as "London Bus Found In Arctic Ice" and "WW2 Bomber Found On The Moon", but it is worth knowing that that paper did go out of business in 2011.

One scientist said "Look at this article about Octopus being aliens. It says 'Research claims' and 'another study suggests', but does not cite what research or which study. It's complete shit. I'd go so far as to say it was bullshit but, 'y know, there are still some old copies of the Daily Sport out there. Yeah there may have been actual studies but they are not exactly prompting you to go look at the source material are they? It might be true that rigorous scientific research happened and they found proof of it, but it could also be something they found on the back of a cereal box. You'd think we'd have found out about it by now if they'd found some solid proof through research, though? Don't eat this it'll clear you out in moments. Try not to read it either."

There's a lot more. Potatoes have far more genes than humans, more than even octopi. They taste pretty good too, baked is my favorite. Strangely, I like baked octopus too. Humans share approximately 50% of our DNA with bananas, and 60% with chickens. I think that Express reporter might be leaning a little more toward bananas or chickens in other ways. But chickens, it turns out, can also be trained.

So, what you're saying is potatoes are actually from space?
I'm fairly certain there's several video games with that theme.

Well, not quite saying potatoes are from outer space, it hadn't crossed my mind. I was mostly thinking that the reporter from Express seems to have displayed only slightly more intelligence than a potato, except then I turned it into a chicken or banana.

What did cross my mind last night was whether or not I was hearing Yanni or Laurel. I heard both, and there was even a transitional sound that sounded like Harry at first.

[Edit] Now that I think about it though, potatoes were in space, and might be right now. Chicken and banana too. They come back to Earth usually as astronaut poop, which doesn't really qualify as alien, but yeah I'm pretty sure potato is on the menu up there from time to time. Octopus, I'm not sure of.
