Same here. Not a huge fan of Origin's bigger ships (absolutely gorgeous but so, so expensive, with such limited potential), but the 315p looks like a pretty good deal. So I now have a CCU sitting in my buybacks.
I just got them as I need data runners and both of those larger Origin ships have decent amounts of computer slots. Plus I wanted a yacht to spread the Doctrine of Montoya and lead our converts towards a more effective Aurora Swarm than any other.

A week or so ago I added a 300i and 315p to my 325a and 350r... Got the set.

I have not watched the video yet, i'm trying to not overhype myself.

EDIT - looked at the video... Yep it's started  The view of the ship from the side in these earliest concepts is stunning. The other angles haven't grabbed me yet, but dead-side-on... That looks good.

No idea how they'd be able to Sport that up to make the 350R look like a speedster but as I said, early days yet.

I think when the component system comes online, and you see how many utility slots the 600i gets, you'll find that it is not nearly so limited as you might guess. Almost guaranteed it has several more slots than the Connies, and that is where its real value lies. The Connie has to lose a turret to get a big scan package, and you have to buy a specific variant. The 600i is not like that at all.

But the 600i is 30% bigger, and I wouldn't wanna take one into anywhere dangerous...

Also. I just realized, $35 more and I'll have spent $1500 on funding this game.

I regret nothing. Hammerhead, here I come!

I am worried. Given the current STATE of turrets, the hammerhead will be totally ineffective other than the 32xS3 missiles which will be fun to launch.

Same goes for my Retaliator.

The longer I play this game the more I realise I need to buy ships for ME to pew pew, and not worry about anyone else!!! I might even re-by my sabre :o :o

I heard they have several updates coming to the turrets soon, at least I think they did. They have quite a lot of time to work on them, particularly when the hammerhead is out.

I really shouldn't be surprised that CIG has decided to rework one of the hottest looking ship lines into a buttplug as they already said they were going to change all the OJ ships to match the 600i abomination.

Origin Jumpworks were awesome looking ships that evoked power and speed surging forward and now we've got, uh, the Chevy Volt.

My thoughts exactly =(

They always talked about it as the BMW of the universe, but now it looks generic, cheap and plastic, with all those rounded edges.
It turned from an E46 M3 into a new 3 GT (the ugliest car currently in existence imo). Where did all the angular goodness go? Where is all the intricate detail of the shape? Where's the trademark huge engine pod ? The proportions are totally off, the wings are too small and thick while the hull is huge.
Me no likey.
While I was upset that they pushed back the revision of one of their most popular starter ships for soooo long, now I hope they keep iterating a lot more on it.

I can't say you gentlemen don't have a point, but remember this is only the whitebox of a concept - I wouldn't be surprised if this was to prove you could fit some decent sized rooms in something 300i shaped more than being the final product...

I always said the 300i was a ship that had to look like it was going 1000m/s when it was stationary on the landing pad. The current 300 does, the M50 definately does, this one will have to retain that and turn it up to 11 for the 350r.
