Wanting to get a few people online Saturday to collect some asteroid mining data.
I vote to petition a change to this thread title to "The Sitting Comment Wall" as you dont run on walls as much as you sit on them.
What are the time zones for the mid week and weekend mining events?
we had a group thing... what happen to it? want to make my own combat unit (:

Found out today that the rest stop doesn't buy any ore and that the best concentrations of mineable materials are on moon surface.
Indeed, astrological speaking, moons are half formet planets, meaning that the external Cortex is probably richer than any other surface, same for comets (not asteroids).. It looks like mining, is a ton of fun...
Mining is great. Its a journey of discovery, a test of skill, and a test of making good decision. That is if the server works right.
Noticed in 3.3 when I had fractured a rock that the pieces that still had to be fractured gave additional information to the general onboard scanner. Nothing super awesome but it was nice to see which means you don't need to get the mining laser out and that scanner to know if what someone left behind is something you also want to get.
Mined Taranite for the first time tonight. Its good stuff. Also Titanium can be quite the payday if you find good concentrations.
I do believe this applies to pretty much all ore at the moment.
I would have made more but by the time I found the Taranite I was mostly full of Titanium.
