Ok so basically fire team size. It’s probably better to run through some FTL training separately for everyone so that people understand the role, and can step in as availability changes.3 to 4
Sound like a plan I think I just opened the bunker mishions so hopefully I can get paid to do them nowOk so basically fire team size. It’s probably better to run through some FTL training separately for everyone so that people understand the role, and can step in as availability changes.
My only experience is ARMA so I’m probably not the best person to discuss it, but maybe some of the TSMC guys with actual experience could run a basic “how to FTL” session?

I had a blast Saturday. But ide like to make some recommendations. If your going to break people up in to squads, please make sure that the squad leader understands how we operate together. So perhaps choose people to help you lead the squads that you have run with be for and know that roll as squad leader. If you dont have any one like that might need to train some folks
How large were the squads?
3 to 4

So I totally agree with what all of you are saying, but this was all covered during the training Saturday. My experience is mainly simplified milsim arma
Which I hope will/can apply to some extinct to SC. I think I will message lefty with some of those ideas we developed.
One point I'd like to make is that divisions, despite calling them "divisions", are not exclusive. Also, ultimately "TSMC" falls under "Yellow Jackets" in the grand scheme of things. These groups are being implemented as game functions are released so we can become familiar with how it all works. Everything will be adapted to new game functions and the group/division hierarchy will adjust as well. There are many active duty- or ex-military guys in Test. I think you should try to engage them and offer them a squad leader role first; if there is not enough leaders selected this way, then you could train some volunteers. The basic training for the rest of Marines would be useful too.
I'm an ex-NCO, however I'm rather interested in Yellow Jackets, that I'm already a member of ; ) That said, I could help in case of a shortage of the experienced or trained leaders or commanders... I could also help with some training.
I'm a vet, but served in Desert Shield/Storm, worked in a computer/network center, and have been out for 24 years.. I hardcore need help :) but I had really good aim back in the day. Just don't ask me about combat tactics. There are many active duty- or ex-military guys in Test. I'll sugget to do a few more "introduction" event and then start to try out fixed team and squad leader to provide a more constant training for the fireteam and the leader. So I totally agree with what all of you are saying, but this was all covered during the training Saturday.
Our event on Saturday was the first ever TSMC event and was intended to cover the most basic aspects of TSMC. Nobody had any training beforehand, and I outlined the expectation going forward that we will be gathering interest from potential squad leaders to have more in depth training.
Specialist are always welcome, but I find it a bit early to work for introduce them, both due to TSMC organization and mission available in the PU.Squad size is 3 to 6 because we need more people there in case if connection issues, real life taking precedence, varying skill levels, etc. If we have a couple people that are highly skilled that want to operate as a specialist team that is welcomed an encouraged, but we did not have that because it was the first ever TSMC event.
Ehi, where is the event in the calendar??? If we use the same time schedule that the past one coount me in.This coming Saturday we will have a follow up event based around the Twitch Pachenko (not sure if that's how you spell her name) mission so we have a little down time to do more focused training for returning players. Look for a post on that either today or tomorrow.
I do appreciate all the feedback and recommendations, please keep it coming.
