Getting into 3.6 after not having played in a while, I noticed that many of the key bindings I THOUGHT I knew have now changed.

If you, too, would like to know which key to press to do what, then I've found the resource you need:


In particular, it links to this PDF that shows a visual representation, so you can print it out, or display it on a secondary monitor/tablet, etc, so it's easy to see while you're playing.

I've attached the file here instead of linking their Dropbox. Feel free to get it from their site in case there is an updated one, I leave it here in case the link breaks for whatever reason.

Yeah they definitely need to work on good default settings for all the various hardware people will be using at launch.

If you need throttle invert, there's a setting in the General tab called HOTAS Thruster Invert Toggle. It fixes it for me.
You first must select the correct HOTAS. Every flightstick, throttle, rudder pedals and button box counts as a HOTAS. There is an UI provided for the first 4 detected controllers. Beyond the first 4 detected controllers, it is only possible to invert an axis if you export the keybindings, edit the exported xml and import the keybindings again.

Yea...I loaded up my bindings again for my dual T16000 , and found out hardly anything worked anymore. Not sure I like the throttle changes, but when did player input ever make an impact on game play?!?!?!? 🙃
There's something else I should mention. I don't use the default throttle settings, like forward and backward from the stick throttle slider. In the configuration, I used the old setting for Thrust Forward or whatever it's called, and set that to Slider 1. You might need to then go and set the HOTAS Thruster Invert Toggle to yes. I go into single player in Arena Commander to do the setup, and make sure it works with a couple of ships.
I have 2 sticks btw, I just don't have the space to use them both at the moment. Kind of an ongoing story.

Is not only that, is olso the enormous amount of control option SC have to be able to accomodate every play style, from Keyboard and mouse to HOTAS and dual stick (and ANY combination ot those...) that keep the setup long and complicated if you do not know how to set up....

As soon I've connected my HOTAS I've spend somethink like 2 hours figuring out how to solve the invert trottle issue... kind of annoying.:mad:

I have a question, I just bought the X56 HOTAS and I have been trying to do the bindings for two days now. I tried using the X56 Profile on SC, but nothing comes up. Also I tried binding it myself but the field I click on does not show any bindings. Can you point me in the right direction?

Well first congratulation to necrotreading a post that is more then 1 years old!!!

For the binding pay attention to the selected control set: SC have multiple control set for the different device (keyborad, joypad, hotas...) so you could have the same exact command mapped for every device. I've never tryed it but I suppose that if you are on the keyboard and mouse control set it won't get command form the hotas.

Also, since we are in topic, remember that SC treat the different section of command (ex: on foot, ship manuvering, ship weapon turret etc), as sepaeted key binding, this wiill allow you to use the same binding for different purpose: for exapleyou could bind the ship movement (pitch rolla, yaw) to the joystic and use the same joistic movement to control the turrent movement.
Just be avare that is both command can be executed at the same time, like firing and drop the landing gear, this will happen...
