Well, in this, you're not alone. There are a few of us who don't/can't drink. In my case, it's related to an injury. It changed the flavor of several things, beer included. No idea why, but it tastes to me mostly like wet sand now. Beef changed, if I have a steak it tastes like wet leather (and leatherwork used to be a hobby of mine, so I know what that tastes like). Other things changed for me too, but I'll spare you the other details.
