If you open and closed the ramp really quickly while loading, it would look like it was sad binge eating. The cargo door needs to change...the whole back of the ship looks sad..
Turret beneath is for wipe out weak local insurgency before landing, turret above is necessary for defence purposes once the ship has landed and provide some time to perform an emergency take off before the runaway. One thing that bugs me about the Mercury are the turrets.
Manned turrets, or even remote turrets on ships smaller than a Hammerhead and plain fucking awful.
The speed at which the ship moves in a dog fight makes it near impossible for turret gunners to do their job properly.
Turret gunners can only really excel when the ship is tanky enough that it can keep relatively still and allow the gunners to move around.
I'll join your wing with my Carrak.Cannot wait for this girl. All other ships are superfluous!
Well then, it'll be a party!I'll join your wing with my Carrak.
Is that like code for something?I'll join your wing with my Carrak.
I'm curious, if you in your MSR fly just above the top of my C2 Hercules, will it be detectable as a 2nd ship on sensors that see me coming in? If not, I suggest we see if the piggyback formation helps with the smuggling efforts at some point.Cannot wait for this girl. All other ships are superfluous!
Never hurts to try! And if they detect me, I'll just use your massive Hercules as a shield. Win win! This is what I imagine the relationship between a Mercury and a Hercules will be.Never hurts to try! And if they detect me, I'll just use your massive Hercules as a shield. Win win! Hahaha

Just to be safe, I'll probably be hauling a full load of waste material, so if the shred the bottom of the hull of my ship, their lives will also get a bit messed up by their own actions. This is what I imagine the relationship between a Mercury and a Hercules will be.

Brilliant. I love it!Just to be safe, I'll probably be hauling a full load of waste material, so if the shred the bottom of the hull of my ship, their lives will also get a bit messed up by their own actions.
Agree... the concept feel like more... sporty??? It really feel like a faster ship then the evarage out there, like the whole ship is 1/2 engine just to leave the problem behind...I liked it better when it had the third engine in the middle. Made it look faster and sleeker.
Don't mind a chonky Mercury but I liked the original concept more.
If we were not in Test I'd say we have a chance of pulling this off...I'm curious, if you in your MSR fly just above the top of my C2 Hercules, will it be detectable as a 2nd ship on sensors that see me coming in? If you want a ship that looks like it's mostly engine, then let me introduce you to the Drake Herald.Agree... the concept feel like more... sporty??? It really feel like a faster ship then the evarage out there, like the whole ship is 1/2 engine just to leave the problem behind...
Now is just like they impound it and impose to the owner to strip the overchargerd engine and restore the stock one.... A pimp-my-ship done the wrong way...
Then it's a good thing that I'm a "filthy affiliate" because I created my own org a long time before I learned about TEST Squadron to give people I know in person that play SC a safe place to call home Org wise because I've had bad experiences in past MMO's. So they'll scan me, see that I'm an Org leader of a small legal group, not notice him in my scanning wake & not bother looking for him.If we were not in Test I'd say we have a chance of pulling this off...
That's what I thought, slightly bigger than a Cutlass. With as deep and wide as the cargo bay looked it was easy for me to imagine it was about that size. The MAX has 120, after all, and it's not Connie sized.I thought that it was always supposed to be somewhere between a cutlass & Connie in size to keep it small enough to get into places to scan for info undetected, but still have about the same cargo hauling capability of 1 of the Connies.
Don't you mean the fiery wreck as the test pilot forgets about piloting on his mission to grab a new beer from the cooler and accidentally collides with you?If you want a ship that looks like it's mostly engine, then let me introduce you to the Drake Herald.

Yes....Accidentally.Don't you mean the fiery wreck as the test pilot forgets about piloting on his mission to grab a new beer from the cooler and accidentally collides with you?
