So long as CIG's funding is up over last quarter they have no reason to change their practices, no reason to keep us in the loop with their victories and setbacks. As long as the subscriber's numbers stay high the shows they pay for will continue to lack content. If we really want CIG to change their ways then we the community need to just stop spending money on them. In fact, if we all just held off on the next ship concept it would send the message that needs to be sent.

Until then they will continue forward as they have.

The leaked Talon statement "strike hard and fade away" seems to me anyways, more or less an Eclipse or Sabre type of ship, stealth, low armor, hit and run, decent weaponry or a torpedo. I don't think it will be an escort type of ship or 1on1 dogfighter. I am just going off that little description mind you. :)

As for the CIG statement regarding SQ42, I have read it, watched numerous video's by hardcore SC streamers and I agree with most of them, bunch of excuses in there, people were sick, didn't want to ruin the game by releasing information, was not up to our standards. I will be honest, I have never heard a line more repeated by any company not just gaming companies when there is a delay "Not up to our standards" yet time and again these same companies when the time comes do just that, dump some lump of crap on the communities lmao. Ubisoft, BioWare, EA.... sound familiar? I bet 1000000000000$$ if you go back through all their pre-release interviews this statement comes up at least one time lol. Not saying this is the case with CIG, most of us trust them and feel that they usually transparent and honest with us, but when I start hearing stuff like this is has a tendency to bring back bad memories lmao.

Sorry, I don't buy it, I think SQ42 will be a 1 year delay or some other issue they know we won't like and they are hesitant to make any statements right now on where it is at, usually when companies go quiet its because they fear the community reaction or consumer reaction.

And dude, that Herman Miller chair looks insane, I just switched from a racing/gaming chair to a more ergonomic chair because of back issues and so far I am glad, I read up on Herman Miller and the reviews these chairs get are insane, so not so much Logitech bringing the standards but Herman Miller for sure.

I made the mistake of following GRRM, Rothfuss, and Kentaro Miura (Berserk) from the beginning too. I've been following Squadron 42 since November 11, 2012 kickstarter. If anything we're in for another decade of waiting...but that could just be the pessimist in me speaking.

I honestly don't think it will be 10 years, for one reason alone, if they were to wait to long the next gen tech would be here and they would have to start many parts over again. I do think the PU will be released in slices, 2-3 years from now when the professions are done and ships are done we will get a downsized version of the PU which they will add to as a live service there after. SQ42 imo is about a year behind schedule unless they have managed to hire(and that is the rumor) or move teams around to compensate for the delays. I really think if SQ42 gets released on schedule it will be so buggy and broken it will ruin the launch so better to hold off.

At this point CIG is screwed either way, its either delayed or released on time and broken its a no win situation really.

Those are my gut instincts anyways and trust me I am getting tired of waiting, at this rate I will be almost 50 years old having invested heavily (thousands) into this game when I was in my late 30s before the PU goes live and that is if its only 2-3 years out lmao.
