It is podgy with obstructed visibility. But I still love the MIS as it has both lot of missiles and a great number of guns.

Purchased the Shrike, and upgraded a Herald to the Talon.
I was tempted by the Alien complete pack, but no Scythe this time round, and I have all the decent Alien ships anyway, so would be sacrificing some decent gear for just to add a load of old pants to the fleet.

I secured my GF @AtaleenaTalonsbane a regular Talon as she's not a fan of missiles, but really liked the looks & seems to love light fighters, while I secured myself the double pack. Does that make us a pair of bird brains though? IDK, but we're both in on this round of CIG duck-duck-goose.

I figured it wasn't going to be a stealth ship but I was a bit shocked to find out it was more maneuverable than the Gladius.
It is also intresting that the Phalanx is intended to have 100% ballistic absorption when the strength of ballistic is some of its damage goes through shields.

The trade off of the Phalanx shields providing 100% ballistic damage absorption is that it is only that way in 1 direction, but that drops the shields in the others to the best of my knowledge.
Will be interesting to see how it's tuned. But right now it seems the Gladius is less maneuverable and has less firepower than the Talon, wonder what will change?
