Sweet, can someone explain to me how every diagnosis, regardless of how the damage was recieved always ended up with the patient being in .... NEURAL SHOCK! ;-)
Sure thing! Neural Shock was a term developed originally in 1973 after NASA scientists grew tired of astronauts referring to their own condition as "Space Madness".

Coincidence! I have USED various chemicals on myself while "experimenting"(mostly in my youth. I have since turned professional)
That's a wonderful life history! I unfortunately developed an alergy to some of the raw material when I was 18. The doctor never told my parents why they had to go to the hospital to pick me up, but it was the end of a budding career just the same.

I haven't known how to respond to this since the original post. Just to be honest, I work in space science and development, primarily in next generation propulsion.

My physics is quite strong unless compared to real physicists, which I am not. However, I'm quite fluent in high energy physics and General Relativity.

My general reaction to the notions here is that the dynamic for wormhole travel is going to be mostly game oriented, and really won't evoke much real physics. If your heart is set on collapsing wormholes using a supercolider, even were that something the physics eluded to, you'd have a terrible time convincing game designers to give you that sort of advantage "just because".

Rather, we have a quantum interdiction dynamic in game already. My guess is CIG would say, "just use that". I doubt they're going to decide to deliver a huge, game-changing dynamic to any supercolider user just because they asked. Certainly they're not going to say you destroyed an entire fleet of ships incoming by using a dynamic they didn't create.

I don't know what CIG plans for supercolider users, but if I had to guess; they'd offer some sort of benefit to an ingame dynamic--like the ability to generate some enhanced material that can be used to build more advanced equipment already in game. Something like an expensive, advanced material that enables lasers to output more before melting down, etc. Whatever it is, I would not expect this for at least the next half decade. No quick and easy game-busters here.

Well qualified for planetary surveys with training in geology, hydrogeology, karst hydrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, crystallography, toxicology, sedimentology, ecology, geophysics, and more.

Star Citizen science game play could be fun if done right:

+ Experimentally adjusting warp plasma flow to push engines to '11'.
+ Collecting exotic space particles to supercharge the ship's food replicators.
+ Curing diseases before they turn neighboring characters into tribbles.
+ Monitoring vacation planet destinations from great distance.
+ Brewing exotic ... um ... medical ... coctails.
+ Beaming enemies boarding the ship into the ship bulkhead.
+ Discovering one's ancestors in the future space time continuum.
+ Finally solving the Oak Island mystery.
+ And more!
I'll need some beer/Jameson before I can contribute my thought process. In the meantime.

+ Brewing exotic ... um ... medical ... coctails.
Mmmmmmm Booze. I can just taste it.

Doesen't someon have to die first? Also, I get the idea of so many traps and water inlets that are flooding the tunnles but there should be ways to plug up the holes with some thing and pump all the water out to find out how everything worked instead of just burning money making the TV show go on forever.

also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (but I'm old and senile so I could be making this up accidentally) that super colliders would be a big part in helping us overlock energy weapons and shields, along with creating better alloys for armor, etc.
That's pretty much all we know about it and the science career in general. They've been very closed lipped about the whole thing because I don't think they fully understand what they're doing with it either. (or what they can do)

It's the gameplay I'm interested in most, but unfortunately I don't think it will become a thing until the Endeavor is fully finished. And that's been joked about in the past as not being released until after the game goes Live. It's frustrating not having a single bit of information when most other careers can at least extrapolate a little bit from current mechanics.

As for the idea of collapsing wormholes, I doubt CIG would allow that type of power in the players' hands. I could possibly see them allowing a player to reopen or hold open a previously collapsed jump point so people can get through, but even then that's a lot of power to put in the hands of players. The science vessels are this games closest thing to wizards from other games, what they allow us to do is strictly up to them. A D&D Wizard is almost a literal god, but most MMOs just give them token powers, I don't see CIG allowing us to do too crazy of things.

Man, don't even get me started on what the Endeavor could possibly do in the future by what they've said in the past. It's a fucking nightmare of a rabbit hole in theorycrafting. At this point I've spent so much time thinking about what could be that they could just take my notes and implement the system, I wouldn't even charge them.

Not only functionality, but also requires docking as it's too big. It needs the connie/merlin docking to release the front cab. It needs tech to determine what happens when it goes into atmo. The thing just wouldn't work.

Also needs modular systems to come in, or have a different ship model for every single pod configuration :-O

In all seriousness I'll bet an Aurora LN that only the front ship can go into atmo the hab domes are going to be space only.

I don't doubt you are right, but there is that notorious concept image of the cab detaching with a background of blue sky with clouds atmosphere.
