I wonder if I melt my Omega if they can un melt it, cause I have $100 worth of upgrades on it, and I want the Omega back.

I have exactly the same situation. I just dropped RSI support a question about that. Will report here when they get back to me.
edit. Hmmm.. It seems the answer might take up to 2 weeks... Well, I'm no hurry, we'll see.
you mean you CCU'd your omega? not sure how they would go abouts doing that.. they need you to have the available credits on your account in order to un-melt it.. but the omega is the promotional "free" amd one isn't it? you could ask them if its possible to reverse the CCU back to the Omega

I already tried the reverse the CCU route, and it was a no go. Maybe its easier to add a ship than to undo a CCU?
ye they seem to have to worries adding a ship as long as you have the required funds, I un-melted an LTI carrack a while back.. I was discussing my worries with a CIG support guy about re buying an anniversary Carrack, whether 10,000 UEC would be enough to crew & fuel a Carrack for a while.
The guy told me 10,000 uec would be plenty to crew & fuel a Carrack until i had made enough money to continue and was the 1 that first said to me they can easily and happily un-melt ships. He then gave me his in-game ID saying to add him & he would help crew my ship in the PU if i wanted.

Is this only going to be in the PTU? I've been thinking about melting my Tali to get back into a Connie. But I know I'll regret it if I do. Also I don't want to spend another £190 on the game to be honest as I reckon one big multi crew ship is enough for me and I'm expecting to use my Avenger/SH more.
Just walked through my tali in the ptu . . . literally. The ladder to the second deck was not working so I decided to walk through the hull =P But I think it is far cooler than a connie. Has a lot more cargo/missile room than I expected and all around just a sweet looking ship.
