It's finally here! I just loaded up the Polaris, turned on the camera, lets go for a first look!

So far I like it. It has everything you need in a ship.
Definitely NOT a solo ship though. I'm surprised you can't even fire the torpedoes from the main bridge. That's a dumb design decision. You should be able to have a weapons officer control all that from one of the 5 seats in the bridge. Instead the poor torpedo guy has to be in the cold dark lower decks for that work.
I love that big Size 6 turret and the hanger though. Plenty of room!

You missed the most important compartments of the ship, boss! The torpedo room and the turret access point for the big chin guns!

LOL, when we have a big enough crew to house the Test Squadron capital ship, the Polaris’s interior is so massive we could do pretty much anything. From cargo trading to kidnapping other players and putting them in the brig

Be careful with that thing, there is a glitchfuck in the glass on the bridge, starboard side somewhere. You fall right out of the ship there.
They need super hard ERTs that payout in the millions. As it is a single torpedo is something like 1.2 million to reload. Yikes.
That or we never use those torps except for PvP. Good thing they gave those dual Tier 6 guns.

they are saying 750k per torpedo in chat on the server.
go into the cargo bay from the side of the polaris, follow it forward up some stairs ( or a ramp) and you will see them. a door in between them leads to what i believe is the front turret. the location of the torpedo launchers will make it nice considering we have to load the launchers by hand.

I love how Torpedo 3 fires through the main elevator. :)
The brig has a few nice touches to it. Security cameras in the cells and an openable item pass though for the heretics to feed them low quality beer

Yeah its gone. Didn't make the cut, unfortunately.
I thought so too but I believe the torpedo magazines (probably not the correct word but you get my meaning) seem to dispense the torps from the bottom. Then I assume they travel under the floor sideways to the loading tubes which then transport them to the firing tubes.
If you lower the main elevator then look at the ship from the front, the ports the torpedos exit are well off to the side of the elevator. Furthermore, the torpedoes roll inwards into the firing tubes from the loading tubes which would mean they're even further into the outer wall of the ship.
I haven't been able to watch the torpedo magazines when they're operating, however. Have you?
