Lol, as do I. I wander the halls every now and then, thinking about how cool it'll be later. Then I go back to playing something else. =D
Imma starting a dating App but for lonely, Org less Star Citizens.

"Beefy Idris Cap'n lookin for fun loving Turret gunners, must love long walks along the lakes of Microtech!"

"Cute young Crewman looking for Javelin Daddy!"

The possibilities are endless!

This is me, except I'm not sad ; )

I already completed bunker mission with Polaris and F8C. I loaded F8 into the hangar, jumped to the mission area and parked Polaris in the mountains, 20km from the site. I left some spare armor and weapons in one of the crew lockers and set my spawn point in med bay. I flew to the bunker, cleared it, looted bad guys, safely reunited with the mothership and treated my tier 2 injury in the onboard med bay.

I also used Polaris to airlift Prospector and Vulture, and successfully launched both ships from the hangar multiple times. The only problem with Vulture and similar ships is that there is no easy way to move material to the lower deck -- it's much faster to park the smaller ship next to Polaris ramp, throw all cargo containers out and then use the mothership's tractor beam to store them in the cargo hold.

Speaking of the tractor beam, it can't lift Spartan-size trucks, but it can lift Ursa, and send it 130m away. Its range allows you to move anything from the cargo hold directly to the hangar freight elevator, as long as you park the ship close enough.

Polaris is a very versatile ship. I'm going to use it as my F.O.B, with Spartan in the cargo hold and F8C or Vulture in the hangar. BTW, you can fit multiple Auroras in the hangar.

After seven years of the Tally and Eclipse using torps as first strike weapons, and millions of dollars in sales of them and the Polaris, it is really lame to introduce a foil and make it overwhelming. It makes me feel once more that CIG has been less than forthright with us. I’m all for ship boarding and all that, but we can’t board Vanduul ships. So is CIG going to force completely different gameplay on us for PC v NPC enemies? I guess I just don’t see the payoff. Torps are already easy for fighters to shoot down. Why even have PDWs? Torps are CIG’s perfect way to make players cooperate and man the turrets.
I've been down with a Polaris since its original concept sale. I've expected the Polaris to be a slow torpedo boat compared to smaller RSI vessels, and that torpedoes would be not just the ship's key feature but also its drawback to keep it from being overpowered when manned with a smaller crew. More or less it has turned out this way. It's considered a corvette / capital ship still, though. So I guess the 'payoff' is that the Polaris - granted, with some work - can still go head-to-head with a larger capital ship, with less investment while still looking really good.

Same! Doing the Phase 3 Idris fight even with a super-skeleton crew of just 3, was SUPER fun! Took ALL of the torps and still needed help to finish it off, but I still feel like *we* won the overall engagement. Today I got to playing some Ship Tetris and I'm very happy to report that I came up with what I consider to be a GREAT 'loadout:' Scorpius, F7A, and Flying Thumb in the main hangar and the Ursa and Pisces in the vehicle hangar, still with plenty of cargo room! I like that this gives me ground and cargo ferrying capability, both a single and 2-seat fighters, and the 2-seat runabout if I need to fetch a buddy or something!

One question though @wmk can you FIND your Polaris again if you fly or QT further away from it? Does 'tracking' a ship in the Mobiglass map work now? I'm about to go experiment, but wanted to first see if you had any tips on the matter!

Yeah, ship markers are missing again. It looks like it's a regression issue, as it was already fixed in 3.23...

No ship marker
