Lol, as do I. I wander the halls every now and then, thinking about how cool it'll be later. Then I go back to playing something else. =D

I've been down with a Polaris since its original concept sale. I've expected the Polaris to be a slow torpedo boat compared to smaller RSI vessels, and that torpedoes would be not just the ship's key feature but also its drawback to keep it from being overpowered when manned with a smaller crew. More or less it has turned out this way. It's considered a corvette / capital ship still, though. So I guess the 'payoff' is that the Polaris - granted, with some work - can still go head-to-head with a larger capital ship, with less investment while still looking really good. After seven years of the Tally and Eclipse using torps as first strike weapons, and millions of dollars in sales of them and the Polaris, it is really lame to introduce a foil and make it overwhelming. It makes me feel once more that CIG has been less than forthright with us. I’m all for ship boarding and all that, but we can’t board Vanduul ships. So is CIG going to force completely different gameplay on us for PC v NPC enemies? I guess I just don’t see the payoff. Torps are already easy for fighters to shoot down. Why even have PDWs? Torps are CIG’s perfect way to make players cooperate and man the turrets.
Same! Doing the Phase 3 Idris fight even with a super-skeleton crew of just 3, was SUPER fun! Took ALL of the torps and still needed help to finish it off, but I still feel like *we* won the overall engagement. Today I got to playing some Ship Tetris and I'm very happy to report that I came up with what I consider to be a GREAT 'loadout:' Scorpius, F7A, and Flying Thumb in the main hangar and the Ursa and Pisces in the vehicle hangar, still with plenty of cargo room! I like that this gives me ground and cargo ferrying capability, both a single and 2-seat fighters, and the 2-seat runabout if I need to fetch a buddy or something! This is me, except I'm not sad ; )
Yeah, ship markers are missing again. It looks like it's a regression issue, as it was already fixed in 3.23...One question though @wmk can you FIND your Polaris again if you fly or QT further away from it? Does 'tracking' a ship in the Mobiglass map work now? I'm about to go experiment, but wanted to first see if you had any tips on the matter!
