You don't choose a "race" per-say, you choose the planet you come from, your upbringing, and your mentor. Those choices affect your starting ability, special dialogue options, and stats.
It's not in Early Access, there is a character builder on the steam page, as well as a benchmark tool. The game is getting a full release on May 20th.
I have tried a couple of survival games, none of them kept me playing. Hoping this one work out. I guess the first couple of months will need a lot of bug fixing so I am still on the fence about buying in May or waiting a couple of patches.
Smart thing to do is not buy it on release and wait for a few patches, or even a xmas sale.
Unfortunately we are not smart.
So is this the hot new game we’re all piling in on only to put aside a couple of weeks down the road…haha?
I think the last game you guys suckered me into was New World. I think I lasted a month there. Fun month though!
