Darn!
No cat ears?
Ah well, there WILL be cosmetics...
(The babarians got them, why shouldn't the desert dwellers.)

I have tried a couple of survival games, none of them kept me playing. Hoping this one work out. I guess the first couple of months will need a lot of bug fixing so I am still on the fence about buying in May or waiting a couple of patches.

Smart thing to do is not buy it on release and wait for a few patches, or even a xmas sale.

Unfortunately we are not smart.

So is this the hot new game we’re all piling in on only to put aside a couple of weeks down the road…haha? :glorious:

I think the last game you guys suckered me into was New World. I think I lasted a month there. Fun month though!

Love to hear about you guys experience that particular game.
Right now it kinda sounds like SC with basebuilding but minus any planet except for Daymar.
I did play Conan:Exiles (made by the same guys) to death. I guess Dune:Awakening might be fun in the long term too.
Only I got no time for another longtime game.
So I'll be doing the next best thing to playing the game...

So hold off and let other Testies be guinea pigs for this game? :o7:
For me this means the games enjoyment highly depends on having a whole lotta people around, preferably friendly. I played conan way after it was a thing, and having almost no one around made it pointless to play, the solo content was none.

There's a max of 40 concurrent players on a server (called a sietch), more people than that can be assigned to a server, but not play concurrently, i.e. you may just have to wait if 40 are on playing at that exact time. This is only the starting area - called Hagga Basin, once you move to the deep desert for high level PVP I understand there can be upwards of 500 concurrent players.
You can play with your friends on a different sietch - so we don't need to focus on all being on the same sietch starting out, you can join them on their's during play. Sietchs are spread throughout the world to improve performance / ping.
If you want your home base to be next to your friends (i.e. what you build), you need to start on the same sietch, but if they're on a different server you can visit and help build.
We'll also need to choose between Harkonnen or Atreides. Max guild size is 32.
