I trolled their recruiter. Atlas has PRINCIPALS man...they are a REAL organization of REAL military personnel.

Texion: Hi there, Welcome to ADI! My name's Texion, is there anything I can help you with today?

Don Cornelious: Well I'm looking for a serious org to throw in with

Texion: Great! Do you have any questions about ADI?

Don Cornelious: I was just wondering how you keep the half-timers out of my serious business

Texion: I'm not sure I understand your statement. What do you mean by "half-timers"

Don Cornelious: You know....people that dont play for serious. They just run into things...half timers, greifers, general suckery

Texion: I see. Well, in ADI, we make every effort to keep player like that out of our org. We're selective about who we allow to join, and we have 3 very simple rules that generally weed these types of players out.

Don Cornelious: What are those rules? Do you enforce accent use for RP events??

Texion: We can't speak for players outside the org, of course. But if you're flying with members of our org, you should be able to handle encounters with other players without issue.

Don Cornelious: you said there were rules to filter out the ass-hats. What are the rules involved?

Texion: http://atlasdefenseindustries.com/join-adi
You'll find a full compliment of our rules there, as well as details on our certification process

Don Cornelious: Where did the flight certifiers acquire their own certification?

Texion: We are fortunate to have a leadership staff that has a diverse compliment of skills and knowledge base. They work together to develop our training methods.
Most of these individuals have served in the military at some point in time

Don Cornelious: What if I've already flown my ship without a licence? Am i disqualified or will i get a ticket or something?

Texion: Certifications won't be required until the PU goes live and don't apply to Arena Commander. At this point in time, everyone is free to fly their ships as they wish. We're still quite a ways out from having certifications required.

Don Cornelious: Is there training ops? I know i need to stay tactical to survive and im just looking for some equally as tactical experts as i am. Do you fly in formation??

Texion: We do have training flights, if that's what you're asking. For combat-based roles, a combat certification will be required where pilots learn to fly in formation and proper communication.
Does that answer your question
?

Don Cornelious: Do we all get the same paint job? Cuz i want an eagle with fire coming out of its eyes. Can we vote on it at some point?

Texion: I have no idea, that'd be a great question to pose to one of our Directors.

Don Cornelious: How much $$ is it to become a director so i am guaranteed my paint job?

Texion: Staff and leadership positions are earned, not bought.

Don Cornelious: yeah, but like...heres the thing. My dad has a whole lot of money and I want to spend a lot of it on this game. Thats why im being serious about finding serious gamers. If im going to pump thousands of dollars into something, id like a bit of a return. Can we help each other out?

Texion: If you'd like your money to be what grants you certain rights within an organization, I recommend seeking out a different org, as this one would not be a good fit.

Don Cornelious: But I want to be tactical and yall seem tactical. Can i get shadow voting privileges?

Texion: Again, those responsibilities cannot be bought in ADI.

Don Cornelious: Special flare? A hat? A sticker?! I wanna GIVE you the completionist package dammit, can i get SOME form of Org-wide recognition?
A smiley face in my signature?!
Wait....so you DO have shadow voting?

Texion: No, we do not.
It sounds like the values of ADI and yours do not align on some key points. We want you to enjoy the game, so it may be best if you sought out an org that more closely aligned with your play-style.

Don Cornelious: Ok ok I see you have your principals. I like that. How can i prove myself to become a director?

Texion: Best place to start is by joining the org.

Don Cornelious: I dont want to join if all your command positions are set in stone. So do you allow advancement or will your directors sit at the top and reap all the dues for themselves? (baggage from other guilds)

Texion: Nothing is set in stone, but it takes hard work to rise through the ranks. There's no guarantee that you'd be promoted to staff.

Don Cornelious: So it would be basically "Thanks for all the ships. Now fuck off cuz you didnt start the org"? Can i start AtlasOFFENSEindustries?

Texion: ADI does not recruit members in order to gain ships for the org. Providing your ships for org use would be solely your choice, and providing ships to the org does not grant anyone special privilege.
Again, leadership roles are earned by demonstrating an ability to lead and desire to help the org. They cannot be bought.

Don Cornelious: Too late. Atlas Offensive Industries Org already started with the completionist package. We will have a space battle for the atlas title in three weeks. Drill your men!

Texion: Have a great day.

Don Cornelious: Drill em hard And deep. All my org mates are Navy SEALs
I even got the guy who got osama.

I wonder how many of the lower ranking members of ADI are actually high ranking military members spying on their Ensigns and Privates to see just how well the training is sticking....

Have you been licensed to give likes? You'll have to go through "Like training" before you're allowed to like anything around here. You'll like Like training, although you aren't permitted to like Like training until you understand how to like things.

now i'm tempted to join ADI based on my military officer training...

pass all their grades, do good work. And suddenly turn their entire fleet into the sun. Shhh soldiers, follow orders and this tactic is going to blow them away. :D

Hehehe, you have military OFFICER training. Are you sure flying them into the sun would be intentional? Officers do tend to get lost...a lot. ;) haha
