If Trump gets elected in November, @CrudeSasquatch better prepare for a room mate. ;-)
YAY! A friend!
I live under @Blind Owl's house, in a dark cave. It's nice! You should come check it out. Bring beer!
But, um, what's wrong with The Trump? He represents everything I believe makes America Great... Overweight aging white men with muskrats taped to their heads and a mail order wife.

Jesus, I'd never wear shorts if I waited for those temps. ;)

At 14℃, I've already been wearing shorts for 4 degrees. Haha. 14℃ in Canada is getting to be beach weather. Spring and fall temps. I'm extremely jealous of you right now, lol.
I get to spend time in the bush or the desert fairly often so I guess I'm fairly desensitised to the heat. The last time I remember struggling (in cotton chinos and two shirts as that's uniform) was on a farm near a place called Beaufort West where the temperature reached 54. I had to wait until 1700 to leave as the air was just too thin to get off the short farm airstrip.

Heyy guys, still ill at home; but nevertheless, here's a flat white:

http://hercanberra.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/flat-white-300x255.jpg

Well, thats it for today. Headache is punishing me, besides of that bad cough. But I think I will go back to work tomorrow. My colleague says I shall stay at home, but I fear my boss would get very angry if I call in sick again; and I am in need of the job and the money (keeping in mind the latest SC expenses ;) ).

Loved reading through your latest posts, thanks a lot for this - I will answer on them lateron, tomorrow hopefully.
Cheers everyone, all the best
Sam

well, this just happened...

I blame tiredness for this. And I blame this tiredness on N.E.S, or Next Episode Syndrome (looking at you, Netflix)

Anyway, one large flat white please, no sugar :)
I am laughing so hard at this, because I've done that.

I've also poured powdered creamer in my cup like it was sugar, didn't notice, and then poured coffee in. I'm allergic to most powdered creamer. And this was at a gas station. So I just acted like I knew what I was doing, bought the coffee, walked out the door, and threw it away.

Dear God that's hot. I don't know if I'm jealous anymore. Haha. Except that you're a pilot: I'm jealous of that.

Too many times to count. Haha. Or salt instead of sugar. Or the 'too much milk' but I'll just heat it in the microwave and call it a latte. Ha. Except milk boils really fast and like to make a mess. Sigh. Jokes on you Owl dude!
Thanks for the laughs, both of you.

Morning Sam. I pray you're feeling better. :)

Well THIS is REALLY cool stuff. Im kinda jealous - or not. Jealous 'cause you fly a prop plane and 'cause you see these wide, open lands. Not jealous because I'm not really in hot temperatures. Between 10 and 25° degrees, 30° max, is perfect for me. :) Interesting that Owl runs around in T-Shirt and shorts at 4°C; it arises the question: what would he do at a temperature which lies 50°C above that - and do I wanna know it? :D

:D :D :D That is SO cool. Thats like searching the glasses by wearing them while searching. And it proves one thing: we are all living in the MATRIX - and you just glitched, Harkuno :D

Well, I'm...half better, acutally. Sitting in the office, writing some dumb stuff in here, having some fun writing that - and will go home around midday. My boss was pleased by giving him this (reasonable imho) compromise.

I am laughing so hard at this, because I've done that.

Hm, interesting. I suggest, you are not allergic against that powdered creamer because its powdered creamer but against an ingredient that is used to produce it........?

I'm wishing you all a nice, sunny and healthy day!

Smaller, shorter shorts. The shortest shorts. ;)

Exactly this. 25° is perfect for beach weather.
Thanks Owl. Yeah, its going up, every day a little step.
Glad to hear it Sam. Keep your chin up. This malady cannot last forever.

Well, I'm okay with that - as long as you are walking the one side of the street, me on the other and we pretend not knowing each other.:D

G'morning from good ol' Germany, dear TESTers. Since it isn't all about beer and alcohol and due to the fact I'd like to make myself comfortable in this forum I am taking the liberty to open the first coffee bar here on testsquadron.com

Please feel free to order coffee, Cappuccino, Espresso or Latte Machiatto...did I mention, that "Latte" in german language is kind of one synonym for a mans erection? I always have some repressions ordering a Latte...anyway, for sure you can have sum Rum in your coffee which then is called "Pharisäer" which is a pretty nice northern German story, too; and tea. Don't like it pretty much except for stinging nettle tea.

Well, it is 9:30 a.m., the sun is shining at 0°C degrees and it seems to become a wonderful day - apart from the fact that I am sitting in the office and have some work to do...or to act as if. Most efficient weapon to let all think that you are busy: rushing through the corridors, best case with some paper work in your hands, and make a full stop at the coffee kitchen. Often you can catch up a colleague and talk about "major business issues" or anything of such crap. Only crux of this strategy: if you are *seriously* in a rush because of lots and lots to do, such colleagues who only want to have a coffee break by using you as an alibi are...at least in the wrong place at the wrong time.

So what is this all about? To put it as simplest: nothing. Just smalltalk, chit-chat and a thread for giving relief to a working day with you guy (because discord in the office...nah, I think that wouldn't work out for long, and nevertheless: I like my job, really!)

Coffee - anyone? ;)
Yeah, I could use a cup. Thanks:D
.......Maybe a touch of Irish whiskey in mine?

Last day of this morning schedule. I am so ready to get back to my normal hours, all this caffeine has me feeling fried.

...don't stop, though. Gotta stay awake one more day.

Mmmm... Coffee...

Was in the Navy 8 years. Merchant marine 14.
A bit in the Persian Gulf, Indian Ocean, but most of it up around Alaska and the Inside Passage.

Which means I can drink any black caffeinated brew and still consider it coffee.

Otoh, I was homeless for a few years, and a small Starbucks kinda adopted me.
I ran a little tech office out of there, even fixed their router and server a couple times.
They liked to experiment with (on) me. Gave me all kinds of weird sounding, mostly tasty things to try.
Still don't remember all them names fer fancy-schmancy drinks.
Makes no matter to me.
When I ask fer coffee, I jest ask fer coffee.
Mostly get what I want.

Nowadays I live in Tucson.
Temp in the shade gets over 110f fairly often.
Good for me. It's the cold I can't take anymore.

But my AC went out last night, and my UPS is apparently psychotic when it's hot. It keeps randomly killing my computer.
Yup, my uninterruptible power supply gets hot flashes and interrupts the power supply.
I'm near about miffed over thet.
T'aint right.

Need coffee.
