The broadest of churches will have the broadest of congregations and they don't come much broader than TEST.
I feel a key to cohesion when the game goes mainstream and this bucket of bolts has to hold together as more people come on board will be minimising alienation. If anyone's talking smack about religion, race, nationality, gender, sexuality, misogyny etc moderate and tell everyone to play nice. Everyone here has made the same excellent decision to be a TESTie and that in itself is worthy of respect no matter who they are.
This is a game set 930 years in the future attended by people of all nations and walks of life there isn't one aspect about one single person on earth that can't be used to alienate and make them feel targeted/biased against including middle-aged white dudes, so no alienation talk and we should all get on tickety-boo me thinks.

Thanks, Butuz, I appreciate you keeping the lights on too. We weren't posting one casual swear word. We were deliberately posting over-the-top number of f-bombs in a tirade copied over and over. The boss kicks ass for talking about DEI in Star Wars. Yet it's ok to fly off the handle spewing 20 f-word bitch posts? A casual swear word is one thing. Deliberate over-the-top grief causing the place to be unfriendly is something else. I only posted because it was over-the-top compared to all other posts in the forums, obviously not being moderated when it could have been, and other gamers commented. The thread was then later partially moderated and given an 'extreme content' warning.
But if that's wrong, let's join the club, declare open season on every thread, and let it rip!

Also, we consider any abuse of women in Discord as a violation of rule #1, I've seen staff get very upset and go out of their way to enforce Rule #1 to protect female members.
Look, we're all adults but some people need reminder on how to be an adult. Start to do this by placing BOUNDARIES when you are in Discord. This helps a LOT in shaping the behavior in a particular channel. COMMUNICATION is key. The responsibility is on each of us to be reasonable and communicate hard boundaries.
For example, both my wife and 9 year old son have interacted with TEST members in person and on Discord. Their experiences have been good and they both like TEST squadron. However, I do speak up if I hear any inappropriate boundaries being violated if I'm present. My wife probably would not because she avoids confrontation with people that are not family members. That's her personality and I try to always encourage her to step up for herself with randos and that's a life skill she's working on. Got her tons of audio books to help with that. Progress is being made. My son is like me so I don't have to worry about him not speaking up for himself. So, sharing this personal information because it's completely relevant.
TEST can and is at times family friendly, but it's important to place boundaries on interactions and take proactive steps depending on situation, for example if someone is drunk in chat at noon, I'm not going to leave my son in chat. Period. As I wrote before, the Onus is on each of us.

I keep hearing the message as don’t comment on normal, casual obscenities posts else we’ll get the ‘Welcome to Test‘ intro again. Ok, no problem.
But what’s the message for those who deliberately post very many obscenities in a single post to intentionally amp up unfriendly hype, angst and grief?
Given the dialog, I’m not expecting an answer. Just leaving the team to remember it’s full open season here when it comes up again. Good luck moderating!

Thanks for the edit, that's much better than what I read at first. Sure I get it. I only have mod status on Discord, not the forums. I'm unable to actually take moderation actions on the forum, I don't have access to those tools. About fair moderation, my stance is I support free speech and expression so long as it doesn't get personal or unethical. I DM'd you to deescalate the situation which I'm glad to see got better. I don't like when TESTies fight with each other, all should be in service of the glorious leader.
If someone thinks I was fighting them, I apologize. My first post suggested a fair need for moderation of a worst-of-the-worst post. A few things then targeted me as the issue instead of that post. I wasn‘t cool with being shot as the messenger. Sometimes it’s the principle of the matter. Thanks for the discussion.

I'm sorry, no matter what the color those suits like they were influenced by Gundam and made by Fisher Price.
I'm trying to like the suits, and from some angles they can be kind of cool looking.
But mostly, they are bulky/blocky looking, and just plain odd. Lego-power-suit-like.
I've been wearing one for a few days, and I have to admit it hasn't grown on me.
Logged in to try to get some progress on the Hurston side, I've only got two decent haulers a Starfarer and Starlancer, unfortunately when sat in the pilots seat of both when the hud screens powered up and came online the frames per second dropped to single figures.
Anywhere else I was getting playable frames even outside the ship camera was fine, but in the seat with the screens on, unplayable. I opened the Mobi to look at the mission but couldn't justify accepting it if including actually fly.
Looks like my FX8350/RX570(4gb)/24gb1600DDR3ram machine is finally showing its age.

I got a new machine a year or so ago but before that, I too would dip into the single digit frame rates. Lol, I pushed as far as I could though, mostly in denial.
I have given up on the event, I have gotten to tier 3 for Arc and HD though. Too many elevators dead, cargo bugging, and the other missions just not appearing enough for me.
Last Friday, I finished loading my Asgard at the one working elevator I managed to find. Took off, and as soon as I started climbing up, got a missile warning. I couldn't use
counter measures as I was still in the AZ, and I couldn't see where the missile was. So I quickly switched back to SCM as I turned back to the landing area, hoping to maybe use
a building or something as cover (or hope I wouldn't take damage). No luck. As I was about to sit her down, I was hit, and exploded. I never did see the missle and no sign of the
bad guy on radar, so I'm guessing it was an Eclipse firing into the AZ? Missile flight time was fairly long, which also makes me think it was a S9 torp from an Eclipse. /shrug
1.5hrs rougly gone, from my 2hr window of game time. I wasn't mad, just felt like it wasn't worth my time any more.
So I logged out, and decided to have a few beers early, lol. Haven't logged back into SC since. Been playing DCS (gotta learn my F4's) and XWVM.

Bummer to hear you were essentially spawn camped, were you offered the option to press charges or isn't that a thing anymore? I was once shot point blank by a Tali which looked friendly but was not, since then the accelerator has been my best line of defence.
Can you get to 32Gb RAM? SC always uses way more than 16GB so it will page to the disk drive which slows everything down - hopefully your on a SSD?
Yeah running on ssd, can't honestly remember if I upgraded to 32rams from 24 but I remember when I went from 8 to 24 the difference was remarkable. I'll have to check that out.
I've half-assed a web search and can see it was an issue on the Cutlass when the MFDs were updated 2 years ago and running on a decrepit setup anything unoptimised has potential to hit me harder than others but it could be wider ptoblem?
