So... I made some rudder pedals...

Fortuneatly they don't cost quite that much anymore. https://www.haascnc.com/we_spec1.asp?id=MINIMILL&sizeID=8_20INCH_VMC#gsc.tab=0 this one only costs $34k and could make these parts. Of course, you will have to add a few thousand in tooling to that, and a $8000 a seat CAM package if you want...

So... I made some rudder pedals...

Only about $40 (and my lunch breaks for a week and a half), but almost all of the material came out of the scrap bin and I designed around what I had on hand. I bought the microcontroller for $16 , 3 sensors at $5ish each, and the magnets, which were like $.30 each but the shipping is...

So... I made some rudder pedals...

Sorry for the fuzzyness in the pic, my wife wasn't here to help me, and aluminum is very reflective. I have been working on these for the last 2 weeks, finished programming the microcontroller today and have it working as a USB HID in windows. Mostly aluminum construction with a few bits of...

    Arduino Crosstalk

They are using the opamp as a unity gain current amplifier or as a buffer. That's useful when you can get the voltage you want from your microcontroller, but need more current, or you need to change the impedance. Most 'duinos output have a pretty high source current spec though, so i suspect...

Any Arduino enthusiasts or C+ coders out there willing to help with a project (Star Citizen related)

I did a little digging. The Arduino Nano seems to lack the ability to be used as a USB HID. In case you are unfamiliar, this is a USB Human Interface Device, a generic term used for a keyboard, mouse, joystick, or thumbstick. The Nano uses an ATmega328 or ATmega168 chip, while the Sparkfun Pro...

    Arduino Crosstalk

You should check out Teensy. https://www.pjrc.com/store/teensy.html Default support as a USB HID and arduino compatible. The Teensy 2.0 is powered off the USB port and runs at 5v, so its probably better than the 3.0 and 3.1, which are limited to 3.3v. Works with MMjoy also.
