    Loreville disappointment

I spent 9 years, most of them running it, in Software QA, where I managed QA for 4 software projects plus plug-ins, plus content, through all stages of development. No it wasn't games it was CG software. The most popular piece of software for this company releases, at its highpoint quarterly. (I...

    Loreville disappointment

But that does not say the cities will actually amount to much more than we have in Loreville now. Just that they will be populated.

    Loreville disappointment

It is Christmas day. No I am not going to spend hours on the computer, after doing this kind of thing for 9 years, it has lost its charm. Now having said that. The city outside is not culled. Granted not all the doors and windows lead to anything but some do. You could, for example go out...

Re Get rid of the Ooh shiney development attitude, and replace management.

    Loreville disappointment

Except I know people that build more complex things, without a game framework, and without a team in less than a month. What they have is a half day's work by any half competent level designer. The exterior if the city is irrelevant. I can achieve the same results with a render. In fact I have.

    Loreville disappointment

I know exactly what Alpha is. That does not make Loreville up to the standards of anything I would let anyone see.

    Loreville disappointment

How am I wrong? You could fit all of Loreville, that you can explore, on Port Ollisar. If you actually could visit the entire city, sure. You can't. Not even a fraction of it. Hate it, no. Believe it is not living up to potential, absolutely. As for other games like it, so far it is not up to...

Star Citizen Financials and New Investors

Robert's has, on multiple occassions, ruled out subs.

    Loreville disappointment

The promise of the future is not displayed by the present. The concept of the game is brilliant. The execution, so far, is a bit less than stellar.

    Loreville disappointment

Yes, so? It is less than 20 rooms and a bunch of greebles. Big deal. Any half competent game level designer could knock it out in half a day.

    Loreville disappointment

Wow, I am totally underwhelmed by Loreville. We are told how big and massive and all the work put into Loreville and yet it is none of that. What do we have? The least efficient public transit system ever designed. 6-8 identical floors of hab blocks in the same building leading to the same...

Star Citizen Financials and New Investors

Not true at all. In the US an LLC can sell shares. There is a type of LLC that can't, but in general they can.

Star Citizen Financials and New Investors

The issues is how do they pay for the servers, the maintenance, the new content to keep it alive without subscription (ruled out), or ship sales (ruled out). People expect 72 months Insurance to run out during the life of the game.

Star Citizen Financials and New Investors

One of my concerns is the lack of articulation on how the game is to be funded after launch. We have several answers as to how it is not going to be funded, but not one on how it is to be funded.

Star Citizen Financials and New Investors

LLC's most certainly can have shares. They can also get financing. There are many types of LLC, that is not just solopreneurs.

Would you want to work at CIG?

As someone that has run QA for a CG company, no. Not even for mid to high 6 figures, and paying me to move to Texas.

    Idris Upgrade Kit Insurance Bamboozle

Given the real world shelf life of most MMO and the lack of an articulated plan on how the game will be funded after launch, what is the practical difference between LTI and 72 months insurance?

The Freelancer MIS is a BEAST!

Missiles should be able to travel further than tracking distance. Otherwise you couldn't use them on targets running from you.

If I could put 4 stalker cells in the forward cargo bay, I might have to consider it again.:)

    WTB Harbinger or Sentinel BUK.

What does the Harbinger BUK go for? After rewatching the ship RTV I got thinking it might not be a bad idea, though I still want an after market kit to turn the torpedo bay into two prisoner cells. :D
