Oh yeah they actually built Osaka Castle in a massive studio in Burnaby. The village scenes were shot at Minaty Bay in Squamish. A lot of North Shore locations.

Haha major international effort though. The crew was mostly Canadian/American/Japanese while the cast was mostly Japanese. I’m a bit disappointment that I didn’t get to work on it though, would have been an amazing experience. My colleagues who did all loved it.

Yeah it was shot in British Columbia, Canada believe it or not haha. Hoping they’ll shoot here again for Season 2. That was a huge show that kept many local film workers employed!

Funny enough I subscribed to Disney Plus for all the non Disney stuff. Shogun has been absolutely fantastic and I’m also enjoying Welcome to Wrexham.

Rotten Tomatoes has the critic score at 93% and the audience score at 27%. Generally shows aren't that far apart in scoring...so there's definitely some shenanigans going on. Looks like the show is being heavily review bombed. I wonder why....hmm.

So….the Expanse is American and it has already concluded. It’s also decent as far as sci-fi TV shows go.
