It is indeed a laptop. It is a temporary fix while my gaming computer sits in storage 2000 miles away. It is definitely not the best gaming rig on the market but it works well for 3D graphics which usually puts a higher load on the system than a game. Granted Iray isn't a realtime render engine...

Today's patch let the Direct X render engine get above 25 FPS, the Vulcan engine still hovers between 6 and 8. Live still performs better. The built in thermal monitoring says no issues. I'm keeping overhead low. :)

It doesn't want to get above 8 on either render engine.

The CPU is an i7. 1080p on the PTU higher on live.

Finally wave 4 got around to me. Unfortunately the only time I see, according to Nvidia's monitoring, double digit frame rate is on the loading screen. That is using either render engine option and lowering the screen resolution. It isn't the greatest gaming computer, it only has an Nvidia RTX...

And now my Army experience comes out. LOL Does it come with a NOD? Does it work with napalm? It'd be good for clearing bunkers if it wasn't lit up like a christmas tree.

To be fair the 8 size 4 guns and snub are enough to deal with the yacht if the crew is worth a damn. According to Erkul, the Carrack almost doubles the dps of the 600i. The Carrack's superior Armor also come into play in that matchup. But with these two ships why would you bother, neither is...

If you're trying to fly the Carrack as a fighter, you're doing it wrong. The Carrack doesn't need pilot guns. The pilot should be spending his time maneuvering and running.

IMHO once it's released, with the multicrew gameplay coming and being expanded upon, starting in 3.23, the desirability for the Polaris will go down. Hype is great, but once it is actually in game, warts and all, and limitations on running short handed becomes as painful as it appears CIG wants...
