This was something that I was thinking too. Max crew could simply mean how many "duty stations" are available in said ship that can be manned by an NPC or player. LET THE WILD SPECULATION PROCEED!

Is this referring to a post of something you saw or just in general? I would assume that MAX crew would have something to do with Life-support (lore friendly) or it could mean Max capacity for that particular ship's instance/instances (Tech limitations). So, like an Idris will have more...

I stopped playing when the Engineers patch came out. First, they neutered payouts for bounty hunting (which is what I did) and turned everything into a freaking grind-fest. To be honest, the dumb truth is I am not flying because I have no way to grind enough credits to have a rebuy available...

What do you foresee being the huge cost sink in operating a carrack? Could they mean that it simply costs an astronomical amount just to fill it up at the pump, or do you think they were referring to the premiums required to staff one with NPCs to run for exploration OPs?
