That's a NVMe drive, yes. NVMe just happens to only come in M.2 (I think they're PCI-E too) Check out the 860 Evo and Crucial MX 500 and other drives like that. Those are regular SATA drives, but can be got in an M.2 form. M.2 =/= NVMe.
