Well done! I am FIRMLY of the opinion that any flight sim needs proper axes input to really enjoy it, and think the X56 is a great HOTAS to dive in with. Your life choices are heartily applauded!

And to a certain extent, this is ALREADY HERE. From time to time there are special 'dynamic' missions that become available that are designed to make larger groups work together. Keep an eye out for Nine Tails, Jumptown, and Xenothreat missions, as IMO that's the BEST time to jump in a server...

So I too am on an 'optimized' path to a Polaris, but I've set it up in such a way as to 'stop over' at some possibly fun ships to test out along the way. This plan is slightly old as I've already applied up through the Scorpius CCUs in order to have fun with that new ship for a while. Next...

So finally tried it out today and found unlike a 'real' x-wing the convergence of the wingtip laser cannons isn't great, and despite it's good maneuverability, I only land 1-2 of the 4 shots when using S3 fixed. Going back to S2 gimbals for now, but still undecided on cannons vs repeaters.

Horray!!! What Hotas setup did you get? HUGE bump to immersion, and my single favorite hardware upgrade! Be prepared for hours and hours of button mapping though, lol!
