All this salt is just the normal cycle repeating!

For me, this time is different. And this time they don't have a rabbit to pull out of the hat, unless that rabbit is SQ42.

No. My big games back then were Flight of the Intruder, Birds of Prey and F/A 18 Interceptor.

Roadmap Roundup: Cutting Release View To Show Next Release Only

CIG development is about as agile as an elephant in a full body cast. Agile is about short "sprints" of, generally 2 to 3 week duration focusing on delivering to the customer at the end of each sprint. CIG is using 6 month sprints and delivering half finished code then, instead of iterating...

Never played those. I was never into arcade style games and, I used an Amiga through the mid 90s.

I don't think I would mind so much except they said they were going to build features for SQ42 then migrate them later. SQ42 is a black hole.

Xenothreat - Ares Ion vs Retaliator and Eclipse

I'll leave that for others and fly my Hawk, Sabre or Vanguard, until I can lock an Idris. I'll just use my Eclipse or Retaliator to keep killing Hammerheads and similar in the mean time.

Xenothreat - Ares Ion vs Retaliator and Eclipse

I have tried each of the types. Hammerheads I can lock all day. For some reason I haven't been able to lock up an Idris.

Xenothreat - Ares Ion vs Retaliator and Eclipse

Previously, I haven't managed to get there in 3.16, it took 5 size 9 torps to connect to kill an Idris. I have been having, roughly, one in 3 torps fly off in a random direction. I have both an Eclipse and a Retaliator. In the last Xenothreat, I had a bitch of a time getting a lock on an Idris...

    Liberator Attack Wing

I play with my better half. Our use cases are simple. Long range Bounty Hunting missions with a pair of Hawks. Moving our base of operations, as needed. Putting our combat craft in position to participate in Org combat operations, where the Vanguards are inappropriate. Help other people...

    Liberator Attack Wing

There is a different option for this mission. Starfarer, M2 and Vulcan. Your number of Eclipses and Sabres would only be limited by Quantum fuel carried by the Starfarer.

    Liberator Attack Wing

It isn't an invasion, but it is a deep strike. We used to plan those with nothing more than a flight of AH-64's. It is a similar, but more ambitious use case, than we have in mind for my Liberator, which is use it for long range bounty hunting missions with our Hawks. Because of the scope it...

    Liberator Attack Wing

The Razer EX is carrying a pair of size 2 weapons instead of 4 size 1 weapons. The Razor EX also has a stealth skin, not just stealth components.

    Liberator Attack Wing

Melted my Carrack for the Liberator as soon as it was released. I saw the specs and didn't think twice. :) Top two pads are XS (size 1 and 2 ships,), front pad is XXS (size one ships), two interior pads are Medium vehicle. The metrics difference between Medium Vehicle and XXS pad is supposed...

    Liberator Attack Wing

If the goal is Eclipse escorts and scouts that are Size 1, then why the 85X over the Razor EX?

    Liberator Attack Wing

The objective is to put Eclipses and escorts in the strking range. Currently 2 Eclipses can destroy an Idris, with little warning. Will that continue? That depends on how Torpedoes balance out. I, personally, would plan on 2 Liberators or a Kraken loaded with Sabres and Eclipses.

    Liberator Attack Wing

The Eclipse is unlikely to fit on the forward pad. It is one of the largest ships that fit on an XS pad, and the front pad is XXS. While it might fit, it isn't something I would count on it or plan on until the Liberator is released.

Which is a good couple of ships to start with.

Cutlass Black side doors = the ultimate vacuflush head.

Which is a good couple of ships to start with.

Important safety tip. I should have quoted that in my response, because it is the most important factor. Fortunately, my better half plays. What did she want for Christmas? A HOTAS. :)

Which is a good couple of ships to start with.

What do you want to do in the verse? The Cutlass Black is in a weird place (and I don't mean because of the 3.14 flight changes). It isn't really a starter ship and it isn't really a profession ship. There are two kinds of starter ships. Those that you start the game with, and those that you...
