I was confused a bit too - so if you say 18.00 UTC without quoting a + or a - offset then it means 18.00 GMT basically as we have the boss time over in the uk?

It could be a local thing because of where you live, but UTC is the long time successor to GMT. For all intents and purposes, they mean the same thing for the giveaway.

If you observe DST use that offset.. I.e. in EST (Eastern Standard Time) we would be -5 UTC but right now in daylight savings (EDT), we are -4 UTC.

I missed your show. I left my computer running your channel all day.... and I missed it.
so 4PM in England = +8 my time, but isn't noon... or midnight.
