I just cleaned everything off my hard drive... ready for a nice clean install...
So now I wait... Tap, Tap, Tapping my finger... still waiting.... waiting....
OK... I'm pretty confident it won't be today...
First wave PTU before Christmas. I doubt that we will see it before the anniversary sale considering they may not want to take the spotlight away from ships. So i'd guess sometime between the 5th and 20th of Dec. I'd bet another 3-5 weeks of PTU assuming there is a large influx of bugs found due to the larger number of players. Then 3.0 LIVE last week of Jan/first week of Feb.
Then of course... FIRST QUARTERLY UPDATE WILL BE SKIPPED AS WE NEED TWO SUBSEQUENT HOT FIX PATCHES POST 3.0 RELEASE. Next update: June 2018.
Mostly just my desire to be super negative and hope that I'm wrong.
So we know quarterly updates are planned again you know like this year so the real question is when are they going to start? Yes I know they can push an update out without any content and they probably will still they haven't even started that.
Anniversary sale is coming though so some bullshit promise is on its way.
I canceled the sub kept the ships, seems like a refund is a big process I don't want to deal with lol, its not that I can't afford the sub I just feel like this game has been dragged out far to long, I just hope for a release before 2020 but I know deep down it won't happen, they can't even get 3.0 out on time hehe.
Those space pants really look like they could improve my dancing!
As for refunds, they shouldn't make them that easy, you are meant to have made a pledge. I am disillusioned but not a naysayer. If the lack of progress continues at this current (no patches no content yeah yeah all the tools are being built feature creep etc) pace i.e. not just 3.0 dropping next year but at least the content for 3.1 3.2 (as per last years con season) It would be hard to not want to give up and take a refund to.
I am still surprised that procedural planets is enough for people. Maybe they had more sense and only invested $50.
Here's how kickstarters work. "Hey I need money to build this cool thing. You mind giving me some?" and then everyone who wants, gives them money. Why anyone could expect that money back is beyond me. You aren't paying for anything other than you will get "something" , "later". You arent a share holder, you aren't entitled to have your opinions heard. You just give someone money and hope for the best. If you didn't temper your own expectations, you shouldn't be giving strangers money.
