And it will take ~ Reclaimers to process a Bengal. But we'd do it, just to watch the world burn....
"It will take over 1200 loads to scrap a Bengal."
That sounds like a challenge, haha!

http://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/2hkhf7/friday_reverse_the_verse_summary_reclaimer_version/
"Reclaimer could work for mining - up to us."

Or apparently piracy:

"You can use the cutting arm for boarding."
"You can start cutting ships if their shields and thrusters are out."
"You don't have to remove a pilot from a disabled ship before stuffing the ship in the shredder."
:D

Your wish is granted... from the Reclaimer Reverse the verse : You don't have to remove a pilot from a disabled ship before stuffing the ship in the shredder.
(At 2:11)

Reclaimer is a bit too lumbering ship, it's not a good idea to use it for exploration because it's not a combat ship and it's slow.
I think that was expected, but I guess we'll need escorts and ships to locate things to salvage? I look forward to the team effort!

Sign me up for crew duty, I'll be wanting to get one of these one day once the PU is released, but that price tag is putting me off for now. Damn thing is beautiful in it's giant, lumbering ugly way!

Hnnnnnnngg I really want one.... but alas, having just bought an M50 and saving for a new HF radio*, I think I'm gonna have to pass. Seems like enough folks here are getting one that I may have the honor of riding aboard as crew one day...

*Amateur radio is easily as addictive as internet spaceships :)

Welcome to the party :)

It also seems that the Concept Artist has a nice portfolio, now i know why the reclaimer has a familiar feel to it.
Good spot buddy, his work is awesome. I didn't know he was involved in the Transformers look and feel. I'm not 100% convinced I'll be keeping the reclaimer, as I was torn between that and the Carrack but it will act as a nice placeholder until more details are released on the Carrack. Then I can make a terrible decision and regret it forever :D

Seriously, nice find! I think it's actually those transport ships from Elysium that remind me most of the Reclaimer. I'm impressed at this guys spaceship designs! Stretching all the way back to those two Matrix films that no one likes to talk about...

I think there are 5 Reclaimers in test that people have mentioned (Seung mentioned getting one on TeamSpeak last night), and I know there are likely many more who aren't active on the forums or haven't seen this thread yet. I imagine that crew will be a more limited supply than Reclaimers (or big ships that require multiple people to operate for that matter). That being said, I'll definitely need other people to help out. Unlike an M50, if you bump things with a Reclaimer, I imagine they'll just get crushed :D

Aquila wreck finder reporting for duty ;) Ill find them you scrap them :D
Based on Ben's post from last night, the Reclaimer is going to be big and slow. Capable of defending itself, but not for efficient exploration. We will absolutely have to coordinate with people who can spot points of interest, whether that be in Auroras, Hornets, Freelancer DURs, Aquillas, Phoenixes, or Carracks. As long as we have a wide variety of ships and members who can coordinate and organize,

Don't worry about that, there will be so many you'll have no issues finding a place on one! And you won't have worry about losing it to pirates, haha!

I mean, I'm keeping an eye on all of these Wave 3 ships. The Herald seems like the odd one out of the bunch, possibly the cheapest, and the one many people will get in hopes that they can CC upgrade it and keep the LTI.

I suspect that the Carrack will be the most popular out of the Wave 3 concept ships, followed by the HullC because people have such an interest in Exploration and Cargo/Mercantile, and those are teased to be the top of the line for each function.

My logic was, get the Reclaimer and see what each of the Wave 3 ships are like. If another ship (most likely the Orion) seems like it would be a better fit, then I'll melt the Reclaimer and get the new one. It'd be too late if I passed on the Reclaimer and then decided I wanted one at the end of the concept sales.

Count me in among the owners of large scavenging vessels. I will happily track down your icy corpse and ignore it in favor of your crippled ship.
