Guys, i am - again - confused by the term "ccu".

Previously, i thought i had it figured out: you buy LTI tokens (cheap lti ships), wait for anni. sale and then use the ship upgrade system with the token on the timed new ship offers.

Then i came across a couple of forum posts, claiming that ccu was not possible: "I wanted to ccu my Aurora to a Prospector last sale, but CIG is blocking the use of CCU in the sales." (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/anniversary-sale-shedule)

So the whole plan of using tokens on sale ships blew up?

I can't find anything official as far as CCU goes. My money is on it still being available for the sale ships (literally :) ), but they haven't said either way. If you really want confirmation, just open a support ticket. They're usually pretty good about replying.

I've seen a couple theories so far. One of em is that the teaser we've seen is the scout ship for the Carrack, the Pisces. Another theory is that it is some sort of civilian defense ship.

If they decide to close CCU's for the sale, I'm sure many backers are going to flip, especially those that plan on using that BMM for a 0 dollar upgrade.
Some person on Reddit already asked and was just told yes it'll be available, however it was noted that that reply doesn't mean that all CCUs are possible.

Its not like all CCUs have always been possible. Try to CCU to a Phoenix or 890j, they just don't exist and never have. Sometimes you need to CCU to a cutlass or something before getting to what you want as there is no direct way to get it with some craft.

Im still thinking about a javelin but im not 100% sure yet it depends if they try to jump the price up more or not its already to expensive and if im dumping all fresh cash that makes a big difference. I'm already hurting from the 75 inch tv i just bought today lol(couldnt pass that up only 1800 for a Sony 4k hdr?) and now i have to try to sell my other TV before black friday this is all such a mess. how did i get here! hope i dont miss my chance.
