For those who may have not been here from the early days, Imperium was the original giant evil org!
Not that they were bad or evil, but every org to hold the honorable title of being the biggest is automatically the most evil.
Their early success is an interesting story, they did it by some nasty domain squatting.
They registered robertspaceindustries.com, note the lack of a second "s" after roberts.
This is before RSI had their own forums, which is a sneaky move, but one that worked out well for them.
That domain forwarded to their current forums, so you had hundreds of Star Citizen fans thinking they were landing on the official forums, but it ended up being fan forums.
When CIG found out, they obviously put an end to it, but by that time they already had thousands of members and got a huge head start on all the other orgs.
When TEST was formed, Imperium had over 2000 members which was an unheard of number at the time. We had aspired to be like them one day and also have 2000 members, clearly we messed up.
They have a nice community, lots of good people there.

One reason why is its hard to tell if the GPUs were used for mining or not right now all graphics cards are not doing so hot on the resale market due to that reason and the 1080ti was being bought alot due to minning ventures.

Also the other problem is the 2070 RTX came out and it is very close to the same performance of the 1080ti and new its 570 usd which destroyed the value to performance market for the 1080TI

Which version of the 1080ti did you end up getting because that can make a difference also Their ability to overclock is the a really big factor also.

It looks like you can get about 600-719 on that one that is a good 1080ti has very good overclocking potential
