That's it. That's all we got. It's something though. One of my favorite genres of all time, has always been cyberpunk. For me, it started with the first time I saw Bladerunner. Then there was the book Neuromancer and shortly after, the shadowrun books and Snow Crash. I was a bit late to the show though. I didn't really get into it until the really early 90's. By then though, WWW had made it's grand entrance. So for me, my love of cyberpunk was running right along side the explosion of this new thing called the "internet".

My roots were always in paper though. So even though video games were growing in depth, I still always went back to books and pen/paper rpg's for my cyberpunk fix. They have come out with some movies. There are a few games in the genre, but cyberpunk has never really felt the same on the screen. Lately though, that has changed.

A couple years ago, I ran across CD Projekt Red. I saw the teaser and I was hooked. The creaters of Balder's Gate and later, The Witcher series was jumping into cyberpunk. It wasn't just a casual jump though. It was a jump right into the deep end with both feet. Mike Pondsmith (creator of the Cyberpunk pen/paper) was co-creator. He, along with quite a few others in the pen/paper scene, have come out of the woodwork to be a part of this game.

So maybe this will finally be it. Maybe this is finally the time when the true spirit of cyberpunk makes it to the video game industry. It is supposed to be even bigger and more expensive than the Witcher 3. It's supposed to utilize the latest technology. The trailer looks amazing. There are plenty of passionate people involved with it's creation and CD Projekt is actually expecting it to be their best seller yet.

So far, they are keeping everything secret. They have said the engine is up and running. There are rumors of a playable demo and they have stated that their ad campaign is already planned out, ready to go. It's supposed to be a massive campaign, but they are keeping everything secret until the last possible moment. So far they have been really quiet. That is, until a couple days ago when their twitter account said:

I've been enjoying the speculation for this game. Cyberpunk is a great genre to work with, particularly after Shadowrun accomplished it so well. I'm excited both for this game and Detroit: Become Human.

That girl who sings was really cute, I used to have a poster of her in my room.
I think just about everyone thought he was a she when the song came out. Even after we all found out, every time the video would come on the TV it was always met with disbelief.
