I already reserved a dirt-cheap room off of I-35 about 6 miles away from down town 9th thru the 11th. If someone has an extra bed or would like to split the cost of a nicer room closer to down town/Long Center I’m game. I don’t smoke, I smell good, and I’m Army so I can sleep thru anything. I will also volunteer as DD for groups of up to 6.
Got the standard ticket. I think I'm going to wait a few months to see where my finances are, because I still think I'll end up downtown at a Marriott, I'm a rewards member from all the traveling I did in the military. They also offer veterans discounts, some which take up to and over $100 off a night. If I wait to long, the contingency plan is to just get something else within a 5-10 mile radius and taxi / uber / lyft anywhere I need to go. Who knows, everyone else might have more solid plans by then and have some awesome place they are staying and carpooling from. We'll see. I'm just excited to get to meet a lot of you! Woo!

We had season tickets when my wife was in school at Texas. The student section was directly below his luxury box. Most of the girls spent more time watching him hanging out the window shirtless than watching the game. But that was ok our first non-student season tickets were right in front of the chap wearing pompom girls.
Oh man there are some great ranges in Texas, but a bit away from Austin, some that would take alot of people and are pretty chill the last time I was there.

I always figured in Texas anywhere that was safe to do so a gun can be fired.
Got my ticket yesterday. Once I figure out how much vacation time I'll have left I'll fill out the form. I'll probably go ahead & reserve a hotel room, but I'd be down to split it.
Oh boy. Gun.... gong to have to look at laws about bringing my guns across state lines if we are going to do gun ranges. BTW, what hotels are good for booking? Trying to get mine early and cheap.
