The only requirement is to log in with your Twitch account and follow on your twitter account. It prevents the auto generated bots from entering 1000's of bogus entries into the giveaway if we left it "Twitch follow" only.

You don't need to use one.

When I got one I got 6 followers quickly, but then they must have worked out who I was, because I went back down to two just as quickly. I thought I must have said something offensive, so I deleted all the top quality* content I'd made and as if by magic I'm back to 6 followers.
