I have nothing but bad memories from using Time Warner at Bliss. They were really the only option for internet and they knew it. Someday I'll have access to Google's future internet technology. Someday.

My internet place (Cox, AZ) just upped it so it's 100USD/m for 300d/30u (in mbps, of course). I'm stoked to upgrade sometime this weekend, I may finally be able to stream effectively again.

That's a rippoff. I have Videotron, and am paying 54$ for 60/10 and have unlimitted bandwidth a month. This is not usual, but Ive been with them for 15 years and always demand a great price etc..

I have tested multiple other companies, always promising faster speeds (not even about the money) and none can match the 2-3m/s Ping I get. Closest was BELL once when they delivered highly optimized crap and spent 4 hours working this fibrenoire modem and it gave me 14ms ping. Just crap. At 10+ ms ping you can start noticing things start off slow or seem laggy. I've never seen lag in any games I've played for over 10 years, soon as I tried BELLs best new thing, I saw lag, I told the guy he's not leaving until they remove everything they setup. They come 2 x a year, promising to be faster, I always give them the chance. I however always tell them, I doubt they can do faster, but on the off chance they do, I will switch. The thing bell was trying to sell me was supposed to be 75/15 and when tested it gave about 65/10 with 14ms Ping at best.
Testing my videotron, I always get 66/10 and about 2ms ping up to maybe 4 ms ping.

I am paying 95 a month for 50 up 5 down from TWC. Feel like I am getting owned because if i speed test its barely getting 20, but the second I call them its magically working fine and then in 2 days back to crap.

Thats one of the nice things about big cities I pay for 50/5 and get over 60/6 95% of the time.

My city in central Arkansas has a public utility company, which I get my service through. It's very nice and reliable. Not as fast as Comcast or AT&T but when I check my package level (25mb/s down and 5 up), the other two are charging $10-15 more. So I would still have to pay out the ass for the same or slightly faster and have reduced customer service. No thanks.

Ireland has one of the largest exchanges in Europe apparently, Apple built it. It connects much of Northern Europe to North America through Cork.

So what exactly the fuck is with my ping over 9000

In Philadelphia I have Fios Quantum and for $90 a month I get 150Mbps down and up and they threw in TV and phone. After taxes and everything comes out to around $100-110.

Well, I hate to make everyone jealous, but...

I'm getting Google Fiber in November!!!

I've already signed up, and installs start in my neighborhood next month! One of the things I'm most looking forward to, if I'm honest, is kicking Comcast to the curb, the ignorant fuksticks...

Gigabit here I come baby!!!
