OK! I know, what you were thinking. I mean a "PC" joystick. Could anyone recommend a decent one around $150 or lower? Would be much appropriated.

Personally I still use my old MS Sidewinder 3d Pro, so I can't vouch for em being anything great.
I like my thrustmaster t-flight hotas. its a nice entry level stick. you will have to do your own profile for it is star citizen atm.
Much recommended the most popular and cheapest PC joystick ever for Star Citizen,Elite Dangerous, and any simulators...

I also own the Thrustmaster T-16000M joystick/throttle combo. Amazon generally has the best price, and if you're a prime member, you get it tomorrow kind of thing. It works pretty well, no complaints at all, and I've used a few others that were far more expensive. My satisfaction with higher end equipment was also high, but dollar for dollar this gave me the most satisfaction by a wide margin.

What you did, I see it...
I run dual T-16000M sticks, haven't let me down yet. Easy to switch to right or left handed, just need to use the TARGET application to run them in that setup.
I agree with @Lorddarthvik , @Gauna , @Vavrik , @Deroth & @CosmicTrader in that the Thrustmaster T16000M is a great flight stick for a budget. I really enjoy using mine & plan to get another to dual stick with it instead of using a HOTAS setup as soon as possible.
This being said, I initially thought of saying that we need flight controllers that look like BEER mugs, but then some of us might end up trying to drink the controllers while their brew of choice warms up or gets spilled & that is unacceptable. Cheers!

I dunno about joysticks but Space Kitty's will bring you plenty of joy. Vote for Space Kitty's!
I got my left Warthog for €150, inclusive 21% VAT. That was just before the release of the new TM products. Maybe if you are patient this kind of pricedrop will happen again.

I just retired my MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 due to some of the buttons getting non-responsive, had it for almost 20 years :( I replaced it with the T 16000m HOTAS http://a.co/cD1oMuF and haven't regretted it.
