I worked through the weekend as well so decided it was time to chill a bit, and printed this for the kiddos. Designed wheels to fit the wooden railway, downloadeed the tram body which should be the same type we have running near us. Painted it the correct colors (the pic is still raw print) and still need to figure out a way to add window panes.

At point point like 7 years ago, I had a resin printer... currently long gone but might something like that work?
Yes. This is resin printed, so I could add them via clear resin print, but I just can't be bothered to order clear resin, design the parts, print em out twice cos my printer sux balls despite being rather espensive, sand em so they actually fit, and so on...
If it were a display model, sure. But this is a toy that will get destroyed in 2 seconds flat once handed over to my kids lol
I was thinking of just some black cardboard or something simple like that.
I gave up on the detailing of the tram cos it's a toy, my kids are sma enough that they won't care yet and I gotta do a 2.0 version anyways.

Haha, the real one is yellow and black so it was a no brainer.
Nah they have no idea lol, but how could they. I just hope they'll appreciate it in like 20 years.
The younger one broke it in a day, as expected. Thankfully nothing a bunch of superglue couldn't solve.
Resin prints are just not made for this kind of abuse. I'll probably have the v2 body printed in FDM while keeping the running gear parts done in resin as those held up just fine.
They did complain about the doors not opening and not having working lights, so I might try to incorporate those if I have the time...
