I hear the new Mercedes S class can las a target and your car will match its speed. Possibly the most useful feature ever.

Jag has had that for a decade and a half now. You see the cruise control to follow at a certain distance and it automatically speeds up and slows down to maintain fairly constant distance from the car (or bicycle) in front. This is why some cyclists are not causing miles long delays on major traffic ways. I think the Mayor of London is going to address that next.
