Means, you take a few days off and then go back to work until your vacation starts in four weeks...?
Yeap, Wednesday and Friday are covered, 3 days left, if the boys can't go to grandfather and grandmother, then I take a few days off, or work at home if I have enough work.

Will your boys go onto a holiday trip in the meantime?
Nope, we will al go together after the 3 weeks. 1 week Austria, 1 week at home and a midweek to the sea. Hopefully the weather will be a better when it is our turn.

Yeah, it was most frustrating the last two weeks. Every day we planned to go onto a trip it rained. One day, we went into the...whats the english word for "Freibad"? Outdoor pool? Well, we went swimming though it was raining all the time. That was quite fun because we had the whole swimming bath for ourselves :) But after 30 minutes we all had to go under the hot showers for warming us up. Boy, that pool water was freezing.
Other days, we went to thermal baths like the "SaLü" in Lüneburg. Unfortunatley, the second week was overshadowed by teeth health issues of our son + his anxiety of the dentist. The first appointment resulted in a catastrophe insofar as our son gained a house ban at the dentist. It followed frantically phone calls for searching a new dentist who is compatible to kids who are afraid of them dentists as well as syringes. Found one, made two appointments, followed by a third appointment for myself, which - in opposite to the other appointments - was planned for the end of the vacation. To sum it up: a nightmare of a week. For licking our wounds, we bought "Zoomania" and watched it three times :)

Yeah, very bad weather, it was cold and rainy over the whole two weeks. Therefore we cancelled our planned holiday at the eastern sea and stayed at home. But this also was quite annoying, for it was more like normal days, just without going to work: I had to do the laundry and the cookings and stuff, but instead of going to work we went swimming or watched a movie or (I) played computergames.
Well at least there were computer games in there. ;) Sorry your vacation didn't work out Sam. :(

On the plus side, you're back with us. :D

The pool sounds fun. I love swimming in the rain.

Your poor son. :( I can completely understand. I had a whole bunch of teeth health issues when I was young. Surgery after surgery.
I pray he's OK.

Sorry to hear that, at least the first week was only bad weather. Hey, I was on holiday at Luenenburger Heide 2 years ago!!!

Yes, thanks for asking. The dentist we found was VERY good, was very calm with our son, explained everything to him and - this was the best - has installed a flat screen on the ceiling. So, during "operations" our son watched Alvin and the Chipmunks - he definitely wants to visit this dentist again :D

How's job and family @ owl? You have to go back into the fields playing "Green Beret"? :D What are you planning for your vacation? And, most important: how's your brother? I miss his sh...ah, posting here around. Please send my greetings to him :)

Really? I'm living at the northern border of the Lüneburger Heide, never being able to imagine why people are making vacation in this most boring of all landscapes :D What you've done there, especially looking to your boys? Have you visited the museum of tanks in Munster?

My job is in transition from trade to trade. No more field for me as a combat soldier. No more green beret (I loved that game. That and Contra.) We as a family are really excited for the change.

My little guy is running all over the place now. He started walking 3 days after he hit 9 months. He's so advanced. Haha. His mommy and I are ecstatic. :)

@CrudeSasquatch is really good. He's working hard. So he doesn't have time to shitpost all the time, unfortunately. I'll let him know you're thinking of him.

There will come a time that you wished that he still would crawl, but he running keeps you both in good shape :p, just hope he doesn't become a destroyer like our youngest or a headbanger like our oldest: "watch out for that..BANG...table.."
After very thorough consideration I came to the conclusion that they both have inherited allot from their dad, but the youngest really is a spitting image. I really have allot more respect for my father now

Send @CrudeSasquatch a crate of beer from me.

Thanks brother. We're really happy. Few months of training then onto the next adventure.

Hahaha, right now he runs around getting into everything. Drawers, cupboards, shelves, toy boxes. He pulls everything out, then takes it piece by piece to the baby gate throws it over. For storage. Haha
Send @CrudeSasquatch a crate of beer from me.
Oh I bought the beer already. But I'm not sending it to him. He has to come home and drink it with me. :)

I choose to work 25% less for 4 years. It was a joy to see my kids grow and develop. Now my legal parental time is gone, kinda miss it, but in that 4 years I build up enough over time to take some extra time off. It cost some but you get allot back for it

From who does that come, mom or dad :p

I'm advertising my stash, but no @CrudeSasquatch. Other TEST members are trying to loot my stash, they are welcome. Maybe I also should throw in some scorched meat :D

I will certainly take a few months parental leave with or next child. I'm regretting that I did not with Connor. :( Lessons learned. I wish I could choose to work less. Military is accommodating, but there's only so much they can do.

Oh probably dad, haha.

Mmmmmm. Meat. And beer. You win.
What is the meaning of that?
There are many trades within the Forces. Cooks, mechanics, infantry, engineers, etc etc etc.
I've been a Combat Engineer by trade for the last 7 years. I'm leaving the engineers and going into the intelligence trade. :)

Been a bit out of the loop lately. Sorry to hear Sam had a bummer of a vacation.
Any new TEST gossip? Every one doing well?

Something like that. ;)
Are you sure they will let you cover up UFOs when scandalous pictures of Blind Owl getting wild at spring break are out there?
v5kqUIM.jpg

Kidding, of course. Sometimes you stumble across a picture and have to force a joke to fit around it.

So jest be vewwy vewwy qwiet...
Paranoid? I'm Canadian. We're more worried about who stole the maple syrup then being big brother. ;)

Dammit. Once those pictures are on the interwebs, they're there to stay.

I'm so embarrassed. In my defence, I was totally sober that week.
